"Are we doing this?" I looked up at him.
"Sunshine, I told you. You won't be doing this alone from now on." Lars said seriously, not allowing me to argue.
Just like that, another Tuesday arrived and it's the day I tutor Kyle. I didn't think Lars was serious about coming with. But here he is.
I found him leaning against the handrail of the steps, smoking a cigarette, waiting for me.
"Let's go then." I said.
"That fucker better be in there already. I'm not waiting for him." Lars grumbled under his breath.
I shoved him for his comment, prompting him to walk up the stairs and into the library.
I spotted Kyle sat in the far corner, his face visibly paled at the sight of the giant next to me.
"Now that's what I like to see it." Lars whispered in my ear, obviously pleased that Kyle was scared of him.
"Behave." I warned.
"Afternoon Kyle." I greeted, sitting opposite him, whilst Lars sat next to me, very closely might I add.
"It's funny, I remember you saying not to mention this to your pet monster. Yet here he is." Kyle laughed with malice.
I felt Lars tense up beside, so I placed my hand on his leg before he could do anything that would result in us getting kicked out.
"Things change." I shrugged my shoulders.
"What exactly is he doing here?" Kyle asked.
"I'm here to keep an eye on you, mother fucker." Lars growled lowly.
Kyle ignored him, choosing to focus on his work instead.
The hour went by slowly, with Lars glaring holes in Kyles head every time he moved an inch. Lars sat beside me like my body guard, with his arms folded to show off his bulging biceps. Both of them stayed silent, leaving me to be the only one to talk.
I ignored Lars as it was his fault that this was so unnecessarily awkward.
"Oh Elza! Can I get your number? I think it'd be important to have in case I'm sick or something." Kyle asked as we were packing up, smirking at Lars.
"Or in the hospital." Lars said under his breath.
"Uhh, yeah, sure." I handed Kyle my phone, even though I knew he did it to get a rise out of Lars.
He handed me my phone back before smiling at me and swaggering out of the library.
"I'm going to kill him." Lars said, enraged.
"Calm down, tough guy." I patted his chest from over my shoulder, "let's get out of here."
I walked out, knowing he was following me.
"Wanna go train?" He asked.
"Is this going to be our routine now?" I asked curiously.
He smiled, not giving me a verbal answer.
We arrived at the gym at perfect timing, as it was practically empty on a Tuesday afternoon.
We both got ready and started running laps, much to my dismay.
I managed to make it 7 this time.
"I see you're improving." Lars commented, coming over to me after he had finished his 20 laps.
"Really?" I said excitedly.
"No." He deadpanned.
"Wha- but I did two extra laps this time!" I cried.
