We made it to the carnival, the boys managed to get us in and out of the cars safely and now we're all stood at the entrance, waiting in line to get tickets.
Even though the world is still spinning, I admired all the bright, colourful lights. Reds and blues light up the night sky and the sound of peoples laughter makes me giddy for the night ahead.
Lars had a tight grip on my shoulder, scared I was going to run off as that's already happened once this evening.
I was just too excited to get in.
"Will you win me a teddy bear, teddy bear?" I questioned.
"If you don't run off" Lars agreed.
I'm about to hug him in thanks, when I notice that it's my turn to pay. Before I get a chance to place my card down, Lars has pulled me away and placed his down instead.
"Caveman" I mumbled.
"Thank you" I smiled, he nodded and looked away.
When walking to meet the others at the entrance I stumbled slightly and started to laugh.
Lars steadied me and told the group he's going to sober me up.
He tugged me along with the grip he has on my shoulders. I tried my hardest not to get distracted by all the pretty lights and cute stalls.
I then spotted a cotton candy van in the distance. I yelp in happiness and pull Lars with me. I pretty much sprinted towards it.
"Be careful, you might fall" Lars grumbled.
"You don't understand mountain man! I need cotton candy in my belly now!" I cried.
He didn't reply, but he did let me drag him closer to the van without complaints.
When we got there I didn't need to look at what they offered, I knew what I wanted.
"Pink cotton candy on a stick please" I told the man.
I looked up to Lars, "do u want anything?"
He shook his head no.
I take the cotton candy from the man and reach for my card to pay, but once again Lars doesn't allow me to.
He takes notice of my confused face, "you don't have to pay for things when you're with me." He stated, no room for arguing.
"No Lars, I don't want you paying for me." I argued anyway.
He growls in response and lead me away to a nearby bench.
I was starting to sober up, when I suddenly remembered the hip flask Anna had helped me sneak into my purse.
I made sure Lars wasn't looking and took a lengthy sip. My earlier buzz coming back.
"Elza," he growled out. Oop, he must've noticed, silly me.
My name sounds so sexy coming from his tongue. In fact I think that was the first time he acknowledged I had a name.
I took another sip whilst staring directly into his eyes.
"What do you think you're doing." He takes the hip flask out of my hands.
"You can't get any drunker." He explained.
"But it feels so nice," I whined, falling back against the table and looking up at the stars.
"Oh god I feel so dizzy" I said to no one in particular.
Lars directed me to sit up and shoved a water bottle in my hands.
"Where did you get this from?" I said perplexed.
