After spending the night at Lars's, I woke up before him and snuck out without him noticing. Genesis picked me up on the way to the girls' apartment, letting me know they were hosting a Halloween party tonight instead of having to go to a club.
I hadn't even thought about Halloween, which meant I had to string together an outfit the day of.
I asked the girls what they were planning to do in hopes of getting any ideas. Anna said she's going as a playboy bunny, which is typical her. Harley said she's going as a fairy and Alexa and Genesis are doing a couples costume: the Joker and Harley Quinn. All of their costumes sounded great but I still had no ideas.
So I took a bus over the Knox's gym, knowing I'd find him and Lars there, I was curious to see what they were going as, as I couldn't imagine them dressing up.
When I opened the door to the gym it slammed against the wall making a very loud noise. Lars turned his head at the sound, looking surprised to see me.
"I don't remember agreeing to train you today." He said snarkily, walking towards me.
"Okay so you're mad that I left this morning. Are you never not mad at me?" I said teasingly.
"Elza." He deadpanned. "You didn't even leave a note."
"Look, let's not forget why I was there. Anyway I didn't come here for you." I brushed past him.
"Knox!" He turned from his position in front of the punching bag and faced me, smirking over my head at Lars.
"What'd you need?" He gave a single nod as a greeting.
"What are you going as for the Halloween party tonight?"
"That's what you came all this way for?" Lars grumbled.
I turned my head over my shoulder and shushed him.
"So?" I looked at Knox expectantly.
He laughed and I think that was the first time I've ever heard him make that sound.
"I don't know, haven't thought about it." He answered.
"You can't come in normal clothes! It's Halloween you have to dress up." I explained.
"Why didn't you ask me what I'm going as?" I heard from behind me.
So I left Knox to get on with his training and turned back to Lars.
"Okay, Lars. What are you going as for Halloween?" I asked like he hadn't prompted it.
"I don't know, haven't thought about it." He sent me a teasing smile, knowing his answer would wind me up.
I gave him a look that showed him I wasn't impressed at him copying Knox's answer.
"Why did I even bother." I tutted, walking out the gym.
"See you tonight sunshine." Lars called.

I had wasted the rest of the day watching movies and still no costume idea. I went over to the pile of movies in the corner, flipping through all of them in hopes of finding something. It was when I landed on the 1997 Romeo and Juliet that an idea struck.
I already had a white dress that looked pretty similar to Juliet's, all I needed was some wings.
So I ran to the costume not far from my dorm, praying that they had white angle wings.
