*enjoy this very terrible drawing. this is how i imagine cooper's lake house and the surrounding area*
Finally, after weeks of talking about it. We were leaving to go to Cooper's lake house. He had promised us blue skies and warm weather, which was a stark contrast to how we had been living these last couple of months. It felt unnatural to be packing summer clothes and bikinis during the winter, but damn, did it make me excited.
Me and the girls were riding together, which was great because I loved spending time with them. Hopefully, Lars doesn't kick up a fuss this time. Unfortunately, Alexa and Genesis can't come because they are going to visit Genesis's parents, which will be Alexa's first time.
We were staying for a little under a week, which meant that we will be celebrating thanksgiving together. This will be the first time I'm spending without my dad, which made me sad, but he reassured that it was fine. Apparently the rest of them never spent thanksgiving with their parents as it sounds like we all have dysfunctional families. That reminds me, I'm going to invite Lars to come to my dads with me for Christmas. I hope he accepts. Knox did tell me that he spent it with his family, or well him and his dad.
Anyway, I had managed to pack a weeks worth of clothes into my backpack, which I was now stuffing in the back of Anna's car.
Lars had been blowing up my phone with demands that I ride with him and Knox. No offense, but this was going to be a long road trip and that was far too much testosterone in such a small space.
So that's exactly what I told him and I know he rolled his eyes at my excuse. I also told him that if he acts moody, I won't talk to him. Hopefully he takes my threat seriously.
Harley and Anna made me feel very appreciated, as Harley let me call shotgun and they let me have control of the music. So of course, I made a playlist filled with some of my road trip essentials (Nina Simone I love you) and songs I know the girls will love (Taylor Swift we love you).
"You guys better have peed already. I won't be stopping for a break until at least 4 hours into the journey." Anna explained, starting the car.
Harley and I nodded at her statement.
"Okay then, let's go! Elza start the tunes." Anna said, excitedly.
"On it." I cheered, playing Taylor first whilst we were still full of energy.
"Good choice." Harley praised.
I smiled at her through the rear view mirror, joining in on her singing.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
8 hours had passed, so that meant we only had 2 more to go.
Harley and Anna had switched places about 3 hours ago, so now Harley was driving.
I was almost asleep even though it was like midday by now (we left at 4 in the morning, sue me) but my phone started buzzing.
I moved from my comfortable position to look at it.
It was a message from Lars saying he was bored.
Grumpy: I'm bored.
Me: dont text and drive (>'o')>
Grumpy: I'm not driving, that's why I'm bored.
Me: does that make u knoxs passenger princess rn (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
Harley and Anna had taught me that word, explaining that that's what I am.
Grumpy: I'm nobody's princess.
