Chapter 20: Voice of Reasoning (Part 2)

Last time on Love and War 2!

Our heroes embarked on a small journey to find the house of the Mafia Freedom Fighters! Though hard to find, a local neighbor with quirky intents lead them straight to it. Upon entering, they met the two inkling twins, Frost and Pyro as well as the 2nd in command assassin, Macie. With the three meeting thanks to Maz, they were told to gather around the table to discuss things about what happened in Squidtopia and who really is the leader, Dante. We meet our heroes at the rounded table now...

Narrator POV

Inside the now "not-so-secret" house of the Mafia, the Squidbeak all enter with gazes of the many rooms and style. Greeted by the inkling twins, Frost and Pyro, they are guided by Maz as well as Macie to the round table in their dining room to discuss any questions with they're leader, Dante. Let's see how this unfolds and what answers can they get?

Leon POV

Leon: (Ok Leon, just play nice and don't get angry. Just follow everyone else and do your best to get some information on these guys. They probably want answers on us as well... Let's keep it tight...)

Sweating a little, Leon took in a small breath of air and swallowed. Marie was next to him, placing her hand on his shoulder. This was reassuring to Leon as he felt like she had his back in case things went crazy. However, an arm reached between the two and placing down two drinks of pre-made lemonade in front of the two. It was Frost.

Frost: Here ya go! Please! Drink up!

Marie raised a brow at the odd suggestion. She shrugged and sipped a bit. Right as Leon was about to take a sip, Frost made a weird sound... He put the glass back down, then lifted it ack up only to hear Frost make another odd noise to him. 

Leon: Uh..?

He gestured towards Frost behind him to Dante.

Dante: Frost, please keep your distance from our guests

Macie: *Growls at Frost*

Frost weakishly smiled as he slid away from them. Marie shook her head as she knew this was going to be a long day... The blue inkling made his way around the table to drop off more glasses of lemonade for the others. He finished placing them and took his seat with a small smile.

Callie: Thank you! I love lemonade! Especially pink lemonade---Huh?

*SWIPE!*

Frost: Pink you say? Don't worry your highness! I will get you pink! Even if it means I have to make a brand new batch!

Before Callie  could reason with him about his sudden action, Macie stood up quick, sliding her chair back a bit and gave Frost a stare.

Macie: Frost, sit your ass down right now! This is not the time to be a hero and get the lady a drink! 

Frost froze with his back to them. He had a sweat mark roll down his head due to Macie's stern voice. He sat down quickly and cleared his throat. 

Macie: Sorry about him. He tends to get really "accustomed" to girls like you

Callie had a question mark above her head.

Callie: Girls like...Me?

Pyro: Cut the chatter. I want to know what this bozo has to say about us. He said looking at Leon.
