Chapter 4: Settled In

Narrator POV

---Current day, 11:45 a.m. Inkopolis Neighborhood---

20 minutes after the Cap'n was paid a visit from Liz, Ava, and Sheldon, the two agents were set out to help Leon and his squid waifu who had a bubbly cousin unpack. Liz and Ava were seen walking casually down the sidewalk on a chilly breezy morning. Agent 8 behind her was looking around at this new area since they have never been this far out of the city besides the canyon. A small tug on Liz's sleeve and she turned her head with flopping tentacles. The cutest smile formed in Ava's silver eyes.

Ava: I haven't seen Leon in so long! I can't believe he has a house!

Liz: Eh...He cares a lot, that's why. It almost makes me sick but whatever...

She just dug her hands into her hero jacket pockets deeper.

Ava: I think this'll be lots of fun!

No response from Liz.

Liz: ...

Ava: ?

The sounds of cars passed by as they were just a bit further more to the house.

Liz: ...

Ava: Liz...?

Still no reply. What's up with her? Ava knew a magic trick to get her to talk~

Ava: Elizabeth--

Liz: Stop! Grr, don't call me that!

A frightened Ava whimpered and stepped back to the scary agent 3. A sigh left her mouth and a weak smile formed.

Liz: *Sigh* I'm sorry...I have a lot on my mind right now...

Ava: ...Oh Liz

Without warning, Ava hugged her warmly. Liz was caught off guard.

Ava: I know your worried about the Cap'n

Liz: ...

Ava: ...We just have to hang in there Ok? We made it this far as a team, we can make it through anything!

Liz: ...Heh

They pulled and smiled.

Liz: Since when were you in charge of cheering people up?

Ava: It's kinda my thing, hehe!

Liz: Yeah...*Growl*

Dark thoughts of the Cap'n crawled through her brain... Cod only knows he'll be living any longer...

Liz: L-Let's just go...They live two houses down...

Ava: Yahoo!

The two continued the walk with Liz staring at her feet the whole time.

Leon POV

Leon: Guh...

Marie: Almost there L-Leon!

Leon: I-It's so heavy! Gahhh!

Marie: More! Faster! Ahhh!

*PLOP!*

Leon and Marie plopped down onto the ground completely out of breath.

Leon: Oooo...

Marie: That was great Leon~ your so strong after all these years~
