Chapter 9: Confession

Leon POV

The night air was sweet and warm during the summer season. Leon was tasked by Marie to walk agent 3 home due to her attitude lately. As you could already see, Liz was not staying the most positive about things. Hopefully, with Leon by her side this small time shall be enough to get her spirits up about the current problem with Craig. As the three of them made a left at the same street, Leon had his hands in the pockets of his hero hoodie while Liz walked ahead of them still. Ava walking along side Leon looked ahead to see her. She pictured an imaginary rain cloud above Liz's head. 

Ava: Leon...  She said tugging his sleeve.

He dropped his head when he saw her arm. He sweetly looked up to meet her face to face.

Leon: Yes Ava?

Ava: Liz hasn't been doing the best either at home...

Leon: What do you mean?

Her ears perked down.

Ava: Well, when she wakes up, she always has to punch the alarm clock until it breaks. I always have to go back out and buy a new one

Leon tried to hold in his laughter with a snicker. 

Leon: Sounds like our Liz to me. Anything else?

She held a finger near her mouth to think.

Ava: Normally she doesn't mind this but, when her weapon gets dirty or has a slight bit of gunk on it, she goes full OCD and has to clean it!

With his arms behind his head, Leon opened one eye and looked at her.

Leon: Seems fine still, except Liz being a clean freak

Ava: Exactly! She is never like that! She said with her arms waving side to side.

Leon: Heh, keep em' coming 

The octoling began to think more about the many ways Liz has been acting strange. The three walked downward on a slight hill past some more houses. Leon kept a close eye on Liz who was still walking ahead of them. 

Ava: Oh! Sometimes she likes to only give me one ice cream cone and not two...

Leon: Huh? 

Ava blushed a little. She loves sweets, especially frozen ones. However, Leon had a small idea that she was bending the truth a little.

Leon: Hehe, something tells me that you aren't telling the truth?

Ava: I am! Er--I mean she could be she chooses not to...*anime sweat*

Leon chuckled.

Leon: So only one ice cream cone is a crime?

Ava: Yes! I love them so much Leon!...Well not as much as you...>///<

Leon: Aww, same here squido--

Liz: Will you two quit lollygagging! 

Both of them froze in place to see Liz marching towards them with fists by her sides. Leon quickly put his hands up in fear.

Leon: Ahh! I didn't touch her! I swear!

Liz: Oh grow a pair! I'm not going to hurt you Leon...Just...Keep walking you two. I want to get home into my bed already...
