Last time on Love and War! 

Chaos! Squidtopia was destroyed to bits, overrunned by the sludge creatures with super regenerating ink!! Two individuals were spotted up-top of a building overlooking the city. They were known as Cobalt, the short mastermind with a spark to kill, and Khameleon, the taller entertainer who's lust of power and control will overwhelm her opposition. They have met fate with Skarlet and her bike with a worrisome Leon hanging on. Khameleon stopping cold in her tracks, knew exactly who they were...

Leon's POV

We see our heroes walking home after a long and stressful talk with the Mafia. Summers wind was light on the their leisure walk. Skarlet had her eyes closed with her hands behind her head walking next to Leon with Marie on his left. Callie stayed back to talk to agent 3 and 8. Let's tune in.

Marie had looked over at her agent, worried. She then broke the silence they had up front.

Marie: So? Thoughts on Mr. Dante now Leon? He seems to know what he's talking about

Skarlet: I think he's pretty middle ground. Sure he may have saved me, but that doesn't make him some knight in shining ink armor. She said opening one eye to Marie.

Marie: Is your name Leon? *Scoffs*

Leon: I still want nothing to do with him. End of conversation

Marie nearly choked.

Marie: Woah wait! Is it because of what happened? Him finding out about Spade?

Leon: That's definitely part of it. His partner in crime, Macie, seemed to have something to do with him knowing...

*A flashback was seen of Macie smirking slyly behind Dante, giving Leon the impression it was her who told him*

Skarlet: Big deal, Leon. What's the octoling going to do? I don't think you should get all worked up in that head of yours suga

Marie: Skarlet's right. Though, this does beg the question of why Dante immediately stood back after finding out who our Cap'n is. Could Spade have some history with Dante? Or vice versa?

Skarlet: Ugh! It's too damn late for your conspiracy talk Marie. Put a cork in it!

Marie: Grrr...

Leon: Girls not now... I'm just...He's...I just want to go home...

He stopped and pulled out the necklace his mother gave him on her dying breath. He clenched it in his fist. Marie and Skarlet saw only to look at each other in dismay. Catching up, Callie walked up to them with a big smile.

Callie: Hey guys! We gave our opinions on the Mafia, so what's yours?? She said with sparkly eyes.

Leon looked back at her with a forced smirk.

Leon: They are a...Respectable bunch...Heh

Callie: Wonderful! I really liked the drinks!

Liz: Can it Cal, I'm going home. Red squid wad alright but I'd take em all on any time. C'mon Ava let's get going... Ava? Ava!

Ava was off to the side watching a moth cocoon. She was startled and turned around as her breasts bounced around.

Ava: Yes Liz?

Liz: Home time, now

Ava: Yes! I'm tired too!

She happily skipped past them and waited for Liz at the crosswalk.
