Chapter 66: Home

Third Person's POV

The hospital corridors were busy and teeming with people. The staff were rushing as usual, walking to and from every room. But a certain part of the hospital was restricted from people. Only chosen staff could head inside the room.

It's been two months and the woman lying on the hospital bed had not woken up yet.

The alpha spends his nights in her room looking after her kahit dalawang buwan nang wala itong malay."

"It'll be three months next week," pagtatama ng kanyang kasama.

Nagbuntong-hininga sila pareho.

"Everyone by now knows how much he loves her."

Light spilled from the glass window, washing the entire room in radiant sunset hues. Several apparatus were beeping by the bed where Eleanor was lying unconscious as though she was in a deep slumber.

The two staff checked Eleanor's condition for the day, as well as adjusted the temperature and tidied up the piles of things all over the room.

They regularly send flowers to wish for her recovery."

"This is the first time I've seen a patient received this much love from the villagers who were mostly aloft, lalo na tuwing nagagawi sila sa bayan."

That part of the hospital remained silent.

Alexander took his time placing the flowers to one of the vases, along with the other gifts from the villagers.

Inside Alexander's chest was guilt eating him. His gaze was anywhere but his sister's face. Clasping his rough hands together, Alexander mumbled.

"I failed on the one thing I promised to do. So please wake up so I can make it up to you." Marahan siyang yumuko. "Everyone misses you, Elea."

The room stayed silent. Eleanor stayed still on the bed. Alexander stayed beside her with his head down, remembering the things that happened after that night.
