Summer was coming to an end and that meant that school was around the corner.

Matt wished that he could stay home rather than go to school, but unfortunately, he can't just homeschool. He also knew that he would get bored from staying at home and doing school.

Jack planned an end of summer party on two days before the new school year started.

Matt helped Jack set everything up before the party.

Justin, Juliet and Alex came over to help as well.

"Geez, when did you get so strong?" Alex asked Matt after seeing him pick up a large, heavy speaker.

"Oh, um -" Matt began.

"We've been going to the gym," Jack said. "He began to lift heavier stuff."

"Really heavy stuff," Alex said, giving Matt a look.

Matt laughed nervously.

Matt rubbed forearm as he turned around to push another heavy speaker.

"How long are we going to continue lying to Alex?" Jack asked Matt quietly.

Matt sighed. "I don't... she's trying to figure out what's going on with me."

"What did you tell her?"

"I told her that I'm not going to tell her, but she can try to figure it out if she wants," Matt said.

Matt and Jack entered the kitchen.

"So," Jack said in a normal voice, "if, and when, she figures it out..."

"We won't lie," Matt shrugged in a normal voice as well. "And, Jack... don't feel like you have to lie to Alex if you don't want to. If you want to tell her..."

"I won't say anything," Jack promised. "So... other than me and your family, Justin and Juliet know?"

Matt nodded.

"Okay, okay," Jack said.

Juliet entered.

"Hey," Juliet said, "do we need to do anything else?"

"No," Jack shook his head. "We're all set."

Juliet smiled and nodded.

She went back to Justin and Alex.

The party soon began and before Matt knew it, everyone from school was at the party.

Matt stayed in the kitchen, not being able to handle the noise level of the music and everyone talking.

He had a cup of water on the table in front of him.

He ran his hand threw his hair when Alex walked into the kitchen.

"Hey, where have you been?" she asked, curiously.

"Headache," Matt said.

"Are you okay?" she asked.
