Matt thought it was weird that there was no mention of this sooner. It was weird that Mason did not mention that he used to date Juliet.

Sure, there could have been multiple vampires who share the same name, but still.

"Oh, my gosh!" Justin said, sounding like he was coming to some sort of realization. "I let you help me find my girlfriend who used to be your friend?" he said as he rushed over to Juliet and Mason. "That thank you I said earlier? I cancel that. Thank you very much. Wait. I cancel that too."

"Mason, you haven't stopped staring at Juliet since we found her," Alex said, heading over to them.

Matt and Jack followed.

Instead of responding to Alex, Mason had his eyes on Juliet, proving Alex's point.

"Juliet, I didn't know we were looking for you," Mason said. "

Mason got down to his knees as if he was no longer in control of his actions.

"I never stopped loving you!" he exclaimed to Juliet.

"Oh!" Matt exclaimed.

Alex gasped. "Oh, my gosh! What are you doing?"

They all looked at Mason, horrified.

"I don't know!" Mason responded.

The heart necklace was glowing again.

"Can't you see how I feel about you?" Alex said.

"Alex, I'm sorry," Mason said. "Something just came over me.

Alex took off the necklace.

"I never want to see you again," she said and she threw the necklace away.

She took out her wand from her boot, waved it, and disappeared.

"Jack," Matt said.

Jack knew what Matt meant.

He placed his hand on Matt's shoulder and Matt used his wand to disappear and reappear where Alex was at.

When they reappeared in Waverly Street.

Matt and Jack spotted Alex rushing to the Russo's restaurant.

"Alex!" Matt called after her.

He ran after her as Jack hung back.

"Don't," Alex said, turning to face Matt.

She was in tears and Matt stopped.

"Alex..." his voice trailed.

"Please," Alex said. "I can't..."

Matt didn't know what to do. He wanted to help her but did not know how.

"I'm sorry," Matt said. "I'm sorry about all this."

"It's not..." her voice cracked. "It's not your fault," she said as she broke down.

Matt took a step towards her as she rushed to him and cried in his arms.

The following day after breakfast, Matt met up with Taylor.

He nearly forgot about meeting her after the previous night's events.

The text from Taylor was what reminded him.

Matt quickly got dressed and went to meet her at a coffee shop on Waverly Street.

Matt ordered himself and Taylor their usual drinks and got a table.

He patiently waited for Taylor which wasn't long.
