Olivia continuously hinted to Matt that she was interested in going on another date, but Matt was not to be interested. His mind constantly went to Alex whenever Olivia approached him about going out. The thought of going out with Olivia made Matt feel guilty. It felt like he'd be cheating on Alex even though they're not dating anymore and she's okay with him moving on.
Matt was hoping Olivia would take the hint that he wasn't interested in going out with her, but she seemed persistent.
Matt, Rose, Harrison, and Jack were in the lair.
Jack was sitting on the couch, typing away on his laptop while Harrison was teaching Matt and Rose.
"Alright, Matt, wanna try out the Thin Man spell?" Harrison asked.
"A Thin Man spell?" Jack said, looking what does that do?"
"Watch," Harrison said. "It's a little advance but Matt and Rose are both more than capable of doing it."
Matt and Rose smiled.
"Alright, here we go," Matt said, slightly anxious.
He made the hand movements for the spell, saying, "Hair frizzy, don't have a tizzy, think Lizzy."
He pointed the wand at himself at the end, making him thinner.
"Oh, damn," Jack said, leaning back on the couch.
"There we go," Harrison said. "Can you reverse it?"
"Let me try," Rose said.
Before Rose could even stand up from her chair, a sound blared, confetti fell to the ground and the colors of the light shone different colors.
Horror fell on Harrison's face when he realized what would happen next.
"Jack, out!" Harrison said.
"What?" Jack asked, confused.
"Out now!"
Jack closed his computer and ran out.
A man with a permanent smile on his face walked through the portal door.
Now, Matt and Rose understood why Jack had to leave.
"Hello, Taylors," the man, Mr. Stuffleby said. "I hope you remember me because I remember you. I'm here to congratulate Matthew Taylor.
"For what?" Matt asked.
"You just mastered your five thousandth spell," he said.
"Oh," Matt said. "Oh!" he perked up when he realized what had happened.
"This marks the end of his wizard studies," he finished. "Go ahead, celebrate!"
Rose cast the spell to reverse the Thin Man spell.
"That's very impressive, Rose," Mr. Stuffleby said.
"Thanks," she smiled.
Harrison smiled proudly knowing that Matt just finished his wizard studies.
It made Matt feel good inside seeing that Harrison was proud of him.
"What happens next?" Matt asked.
"Your independent studies," Mr. Stuffleby said, pulling a pamphlet out of his coat jacket.
"Oh," Matt said, interestedly.
"Alright, I have to go, I've got to stop by the Russo family to congratulate Justin Russo and thirty more families," Mr. Stuffleby said.
"Thanks, sir," Matt said.
