Matt spent the morning working at the mechanic store, not wanting to leave just yet.

Harrison tried to get Matt to go out and have fun with his friends but Matt kept saying know and he'll meet Jack, Justin, and the twins later for lunch and to play basketball.

Knowing he won't be able to get Matt out of the store, Harrison just accepted it and let Matt work.

The door opened and the bell rang signaling that someone entered.

Matt sat up and looked towards the door.

There was a woman.

His mother.

She was not alone.

There were two little kids with her, a boy and a girl.

Matt had a good idea of who the two kids were.

"Matthew?" he heard his mother say.

The door closed behind them.

Matt closed his eyes for a moment and exhaled, now wishing that he listened to his father and hung out with Jack, Justin, and the twins rather than work.

But... would that have changed anything? Would she figured out where he was and shown up?

He opened his eyes and stood up.

"Yes?" he said as he picked up a towel from the table behind him and clean his hands.

She sighed in relief.

"Oh, there you are," she said.

"What do you want?" Matt asked.

"Well, um, our car broke down," she said.

"No, what do you want?" Matt said, knowing that it's not the only ready. "What do you really want?"

"Well, um," she stuttered, "I - I wanted to introduce you to your siblings."

Matt's inhaled.

The kids are there, he had to remind himself. Don't lose it.

He looked down at the two kids.

"Stay here," he said to them. "Don't touch anything."

He pulled his mother away from them.

"Matt -" his mother said, once they were out of earshot.

"I told you I don't want to meet your new family," Matt hissed. "I don't want anything to do with them."

"They wanted to meet you," she tried to reason.

"This is my decision," Matt reminded her, "not just theirs."

"You said you'll think about it," Cathrine reminded him. "You said you'll think about meeting them.

"My not reaching out to you since meeting for coffee should've been an answer," Matt said. "And a text would've been nice."

Cathrine sighed.

Harrison's office door opened and Harrison walked out.

He saw Cathrine standing there with Matt.

"What are you doing here?" Harrison asked.

"I need my car fixed," she said.

"Really? Or are you trying to force Matt to meet your kids," Harrison said, his eyes flickering to the two kids, waiting for Cathrine.

"Harrison -" Cathrine began.

"Matt?" Harrison said, looking at his son.

He shook his head.
