Rossiya Moretti POV
"I knew you smelled different from your mother but I just assumed it was because your father was from a different race, I never imagined you could be what you are...." He trailed off, speaking the last part more to himself. Ellis' eyes rose to meet mine, "Has this ever happened before? You taking a life I mean."

Is he seriously going to ignore the fact what he just said about my parents? Regardless I found myself nodding. He gave me back control of my body and I sat down; taking a deep breath I decided on visiting the place I had locked away in the deepest parts of my mind.

"It was a few weeks after the accident." My hands felt clammy as I started to recount something I had never told another soul, the story of my first possession and also my first murder.

Pain spread throughout my back from the sheer force of being slammed into the wall. But it was gone almost instantly. I was thankful for the changes I had gone through but at the same time it scared me...
I had spent weeks looking for every explanation but nothing aligned with what I was.
I wasn't a vampire, I wasn't a werewolf or any other things that went bump in the night. I wasn't a medium that I was sure of but seeing all these wandering spirits had me doubting myself. I felt a warm hand touch my skin as it closed around my necklace; before she could even pull on it my fist went flying straight into Lucy's jaw.
Her ungodly scream as she grabbed her face was enough to distract her entourage and I made a break for it. I ran and didn't stop until I was well away from school. My feet skidded to a stop so I could finally look at my surroundings, like most times I had no clue of where I was. Great.
For a few minutes I just stood there clutching the necklace in my hand; tears stung my eyes again, it was the only thing I had left from my accident.
Just then I felt eyes on me, most times I would ignore it but this gaze exerted a pressure that made my legs want to give out.
I didn't need to turn around because whoever or whatever was behind me came into my line of sight. It was a girl, and if not for her being covered in blood, gashes and the gaping hole in her chest then I would've admired her beauty for hours. However as soon as my mind caught up with me I was too stunned to move, my heart pounded loudly and I broke out into a cold sweat. I wanted to scream, she couldn't be alive, not with those wounds but against all logic the girl was standing in front of me, eyes wide with wonder.
All of the sudden she grabbed my hand and fire spread to every inch of my body from there. The pain was too excruciating to put into words and in the next instant I felt as thought I was not in control of my body, I was just....floating.
I felt the alien presence in me, tried to override it but it was no use. Through my own eyes, I watched her- us walk straight into a dark alleyway.

In from of me- us was her body and it looked to be in an even worse state. We crouched down and picked her up, words I couldn't understand came out of my mouth and something like a portal opened up. My body stepped through and we were in a completely different place. It was a vast field with a colossal sized tree in the center.

She laid her body down and spoke again in the strange tongue; as soon as she finished, grass, purple flowers and vines grew over her body and it became part of the earth. The burning pain was back again and as soon as it faded, I was in control of my body again. Feeling good was an understatement.
"I apologize for not asking your permission and taking your body by force, but it was important for me to take my body away from there before they came back for it. Her eyes shifted to the spot on the ground. However you seem to not be aware of what you are- a nekromanteia."
"It is extremely important that you tell no one of this, take it to the grave if you have to because people like you can start and end wars as well as enslave the most powerful of gods and men so many will do anything to have you within their grasp."

She uttered the same words again and a portal opened up. As soon as it closed behind me I was met face to face with a man that smelled like death. His eyes blazed with fury making me almost pee my pants. "Who are you and where did you take her?"
I couldn't speak because a moment later his hand was latches around my neck, squeezing. Oddly enough I couldn't feel the burning need for air as one should, but my panic was there no less.
He narrowed his eyes and sniffed, "you don't smell like a human but not like anything I've ever come across..." he trailed off. Suddenly his eyes lit up, "are you a crossbreed?"

He smiled, showing very very sharp canines that looked like they literally ached to sink into me.

Vampire.

Before he could anything else and eerie feeling of calmness came over me accompanied with a buzzing sound. He stopped in his tracks and let me go; a moment later he was down on one knee with his head hanging. "Command me mistress, for I am your loyal servant."

I didn't need to be told twice as the image of that girl flashed through my head, "take out your heart." I expected him to throw a fit or at least negotiate but all he did was raise his head and stare at me like I was his savior. "As you wish."
