Rossiya Moretti Pov

Fire.
Smoke .
Rubble.
That's all that was left of the place I had called home for the last year, and in the middle of it stood a beast that looked like it had walked straight out of hell because it had. There was no time to wonder how or why the guardian of Tartarus was here right now attacking everything in sight, especially me.

The night had been quiet and uneventful until the earth started to rumble and an ungodly cry pierced the silence. Hypnose and I had fought it head on but there was only so much the two of us could do against something even the gods themselves were wary of.

I had managed to send Anthony and Laurel to get help before it trapped us inside a binding circle. Everything I had been taught was rendered near useless in the face of Aegaeon- the strongest of the Hecatonchires.

Aegaeon let out another battle cry, signaling that he was about to charge. I took my stance and pointed my sword at him, protecting Hypnose like a guard dog. These things ate gods for fun. He raised one of his arms, spiked club in hand and brought it down with a vengeance. I tried my best to keep up but I was too weak and too slow, thanks to that damned circle. I dodged a few of his attacks but got slashed or thrown back too many times to count.

My head was ringing and my eyes were unfocused from the last hit that sent me barreling into the ground and straight into the rubble.  By the time I had gotten my sight back, my body refused to move. It was getting harder and harder to resist the invisible chains coiling around me. The Hecatonchire stood over Hypnose's unconscious body, axe raised to the sky. Panic swept through me, no, no, no.

"Voôtis,"
Aegaeon's hand stopped mid swing, rage bubbled inside me; replacing the fear and panic from before. I felt something inside me, like I tapped into some dormant part of me. All his weapons, every single one were ripped out of his many hands and floated in the air; pointing directly at him. White flames coated each one. All one hundred of its eyes were filled with fear, I smirked.

"Rosí." At that moment every blade, club, and spear barreled down on it. The white flames seemed to make it more painful because the more they spread, the more the Hecatonchire screamed in absolute agony. I felt the smirk on my face bloom into a full blown smile, yes; burn you filthy bastard.

Aegaeon's screamed got louder, more agonizing with each passing second as the flames devoured him until his cries stopped leaving only the sweet smell of burning flesh behind. He was dead. I limped off to my unconscious friend as the dome above us dissolved into nothingness. As soon as I'd picked him up a portal opened. Out of it came Anthony, Laurel and a red haired stranger. "About time you showed up," I said meeting his eyes.

My two friends rushed to my side, Anthony taking Hypnose while Laurel supported me.  Now that the bindings were gone I could finally heal myself but even that would take a while.

"You... you fought and killed a Hecatonchire?" The stranger said, looking between me and the giant corpse. "Yeah, no thanks to you."

Hades Pov

"Are you seriously going to keep avoiding the situation?" Thanatos was my advisor yes but his voice was starting to get really annoying. Instead of giving him an answer, I turned back to the woman in my lap and finally acknowledged her attempts to kiss me.
Yes, I was going to ignore this as long as I could.

Tartarus was in the deepest depths of the kingdom and it made no sense how or why a Hecatonchire left his post and attacked my mate's home. She wasn't dead, so all's well that ends well; though I must admit I wished she hadn't survived. It would make my life much easier.

"Hades; your mate and future queen was ambushed by a guard of Tartarus in the dead of night and you're not concerned how that was even possible? What if this is the realm's way of getting your attention or even worse foul play?"

"This place is falling apart and after this incident there's no doubt the council will intervene," I kept paying attention to whoever this girl was until Thanatos sighed and walked out.

Despite my obvious disdain for the girl, I couldn't ignore the elephant in the room. How had she managed to kill the strongest of Tartarus' guards?

As soon as I couldn't feel my advisor's presence anywhere near my I shoved the wench off my lap. She looked at me in shock and anger but one glare was enough to have her scurrying out of my office.

"Was this your doing?" I asked knowing full well it was listening. Black smoke started to gather in the middle of the room and a moment later, there she was. "What was my doing your majesty?" I scoffed. "Don't play games with me, did you send the hecantoncheiri after my mate?" A chuckle.

"Oh so now you she's your mate, I was under the impression that my king wanted nothing to do with her and would soon rather see me die than take a queen," she spat. "I've given you enough time to grieve, I am not going to continue falling apart just because you have issues, if you won't get her here your yourself then I'll make sure others do." With those parting words she relinquished her material form.

There was officially no avoiding it now, my hands were tied.

Like many other times the need to see her got the better of me and I ended up doing what I had been for months, looking through their eyes. I did not like what I saw. She was pinned down on the ground under that red haired bastard of all people. Jealousy flashed through me, if only for a moment. Damn mate bond.
