Hades pov
That day it had taken every once of my strength and sanity to not attack Melroe after his intentions for taking Rossiya back to Qostaria to marry her off and even more of that for speaking about her heritage that way. I didn't want anything to do with her, I was sure I didn't but the thought of another man pushed me dangerously close to the edge.
If Varda hadn't put him in his place before kicking him out I certainly would've. But what angered me more than him was Ares' reaction. I don't think anyone other myself noticed his eyes flickering between their natural grey and a bloodthirsty red, while he tried to restrain himself. Why the hell was he so angry? She didn't belong to him
A creeping thought burrowed into my head, 'what if the war god has his sights set on her?' That alone brought my jealousy to astronomical heights. I cursed myself and the mate bond and his stupid son for doing this to me, I didn't like her in the slightest but my body was very clearly against my mind.
Now against everything I held dear I was standing at the altar waiting for my bride to walk through those doors. I had been battling memories that I had locked away for a thousand years for the past few days, everything in me screamed to just put an end to it but it also sang for her and even if it didn't Zeus would make me obey. Now she was walking down the isle in her place, she would be wearing her ring, and soon enough even her crown.
Everything about this was sickening, especially the part of me that was waiting in anticipation but I wouldn't give in. I wouldn't let the bond control me and if I had to violate my body over and over to keep myself sane I would. I wouldn't betray Persephone, I couldn't.
The doors opened and I almost rolled my eyes back in pleasure as her scent tainted the air. The hall was quiet, save for the few gasps of admiration and I gave into to looking. To say I was winded was a severe understatement, Rossiya was... ethereal. For a moment all my thoughts to stir clear of her went out the window. Whiskey colored eyes gazed at my blue ones and it was like the whole world just wasn't there anymore. It was just us and I hate myself for it feeling so right.
I took her dainty little hands in mine once she reached me, sparks flying everywhere and my body humming in satisfaction. I couldn't help but smile at her gasp.
The council head began to speak the rites of our union and my mind wandered, I never got to do this with Persephone. At the end of it, she swore herself to me and I her; our mixed blood was poured onto the rings that absorbed it. There was no turning back now, we were bound for eternity.
"You may now kiss the bride," he said with obvious relief in his voice. I heard her heart pounding fast in her chest like a bunny, but the light smell of her arousal took over my senses.
Leaning in, I brought her face to mine; relishing in the treacherous sparks. The moment my lips touched hers I had to remind myself that we were in a room full of guests. The softness and the sweet taste of her was unlike anything I had ever felt in my entire existence.
I wanted more of that, so much more. The small moan that escaped her mouth when my teeth grazed her bottom lip made me want to teleport us away from this place but the last sliver of logic in me burned bright and fierce, bringing me back to my senses.

Rossiya Pov"If Hades gives you a hard time remember that I'm always willing to throw hands okay?" Ellis said with a smile but I knew to some extent he was serious. He wouldn't be able to come with me so Ares offered to come in his place. Today was nice, well as nice and entering a loveless marriage that you had no hope of leaving could be. My gaze swept over the crowd again as I sniffed lightly, he still wasn't here. Lucellion had basically just ghosted me and everyone here, I missed him.
"Congratulations on your wedding your majesty," a female voice said from behind me, I turned around to the sound of it. They had auras that were painfully similar to most of the gods I've met yet so different. "Thank you..."
"Omorose, and this is my mate Heca; I've looked forward to meeting you," she answered with warmth in her voice. I greeted Heca just as my uncle made his way to me. 'Upstairs, now.' He spoke in my head making me wonder what was so important and who these people were.
Ares, Thanatos and Hypnos were already waiting for us in my room when we got there. "Are you sure this is sound proof and glamoured?" Ares only nodded.
"Ross remember when I told you that we had to use unconventional means to find you these two were those means."
"They are both gods like Ares but from Egyptian origin and reside in another dimension just like earth. You may have felt the difference but that's because they are older and much more powerful than the gods of this world," Ellis explained.
"Your uncle reached out to us after you raised black soldiers which hasn't happened before, well according to your history and there has in fact been one other person who could bring force the obsidian army and that was Enanka, first born son of Anu; the supreme god. It was said that the child was conceived with a mortal woman and this enraged his wife who sent hounds to kill him but Enanka denied death and became the first nekromanteia. He raised armies of the dead and desecrated her temples and in turn waged war with the gods. With each god slain, another soldier was added to his army and that was the real end of the Mesopotamian gods. A child scorned."

Tensions rising.
Also for clarification; people in the inner circle know that Varda is her uncle. It is only those who aren't trusted with this information that know otherwise.
Don't forget to hit that ⭐️
have a great day
