Rossiya Pov

"My queen," a small voice drew my attention to the left side of me; she had tan skin and dark eyes that swirled with childlike innocence, kind eyes.

"Yes?"

"I've cleaned your room and the kitchen to make the move easier for you; please don't be disheartened your majesty, everything will be alright." I couldn't help but smile at her as she bowed and left, aside from my own people she was the first friendly face I had met in this place. As soon as she stepped out I uttered a few words, placing a sealing magic on the palace.

No one would be able to get in for a good while, which was for the best because I didn't want my friends to condemn themselves to such....luxuries. Now that there was no one around Anthony, Laurel and now Aegaeon were free to roam around. Turns out like most creatures the hecantoncheires had two forms; I didn't bother asking how he could shift and he didn't bother telling. He wasn't much of a talker at first but now I couldn't shut him up no matter what I did.

We made our way upstairs to my room where I placed myself on the floor, the three of them gave me puzzled looks. "I'm going to try and project my spirit to the valley of the lost so if I get through, guard my body in case the seal gives out," I answered their silent question. "Why would you want to go there of all places? What if you're unable to come back?" Aegaeon asked worriedly.

"I've been there once before and I made it back so a second time shouldn't be much of a challenge." After saying that, I closed my eyes and started trying to project myself to the valley.

"I didn't think you would be back so soon queen, and with a crown no less," the voice said with a hint of amusement. "I'm here to see someone, please let me in." It chuckled again, this time in a female voice, "aren't we all?"

I didn't have to look for her this time because she was right on the other side of the gate. I threw myself into her arms and just let it out while she soothed me until my sobs quieted down to hiccups.

"I know it's hard my little sun, but you're doing good for yourself. Do not let these people see that they can get to you, especially Hades and his mistress. What you need to do now is assert your authority as queen."

"You might not be officially crowned yet but you're still married and you can use that to your advantage, no matter what anyone says or does the fact remains that you're the queen of the underworld. Not even Hades can strip you of your rights."

There was a burning spark in her eyes as she spoke, she was right and I didn't see that earlier. None of them might acknowledge me but I am still their queen. "Thanks mum, I promise I'll find a way to get you out of here soon-"

"Little sun, that can wait; what's most important right now is strengthening your hand, after you've done that you can look for ways to free me," she said smiling but there was sadness behind her eyes. I was about to say something but something grabbed on to me and jerked me away.

My eyes snapped open and the sight before me stunned me to my core.

"Luc?"

"I gave up my right to the throne because I didn't want to be queen and now you're asking me to fill in for you for an indefinite period of time, again?" My sister narrowed her eyes at me. She gave up her birthright because she fell in love with someone she shouldn't have and our father had him killed. He took away her lover and she took away his reputation.

"Ariadne please," I begged, "help me, I'll do everything from over there and you just need to deliver it to court." Her pale red eyes narrowed further into slits then widened. "You've behaved recklessly for countless women throughout the years but this is the first time you appear so... genuine."

"You do realize she's someone's wife don't you Lucy? The king of the underworld no less."

"You could have any woman you wanted and yet you're willing to risk father's wrath for her, why?"

I felt my head throb as she started trying to get through my barrier, she was searching for the truth but what she wanted to know was more ridiculous than any excuse I could come up with. "She's my mate."

Her probing ceased instantly as her eyes took the shape of saucers. "She's already mated to Hades so how can you claim her as yours Lucellion?" I sighed.

"When I met her I formed a blood contract with her because I could sense a bond between servant and master but it was deeper than that....the longer I spent time around her the more evident it became that there was something between us."

"Ariadne the pull was relentless and I had to run away because I was confused, that's the main reason I've been visiting sorcerer after sorcerer and looking for the Moirai. Only they can tell me what I already know to be true."

She facepalmed, clearly taken aback but the situation. "If that's true then I have no choice but to help my favorite little brother," I smiled at her words and hugged he before leaving her room. Now that I had someone to manage the kingdom in my absence I could go to where I'm meant to be.

We arrived in the underworld later than planned but it was never too late. Ares had used his fathers power to corner his uncle while I used the fact that I was bound to Ross by blood so he couldn't turn us away. However that was the least of our problems.

Thanatos had told me that ever since she entered Larimar palace she hadn't set foot outside or made contact with them and they couldn't go in because it was sealed shut.

It's been three days.

Well they weren't kidding, it was sealed shut. I was pacing back and forth and losing it to say the least, why would she do something like that?
"Your majesty, you said you have a blood contract with the queen," Edward chimed in and I looked at him like he had grown a second head. "Yes, and?"

"Well, the queen also made the contract with you so your blood flows through her just as hers does through you so her magic will most likely yield to you because her blood runs through you as well."

It was times like this that I was glad to have him by my side, his idea wasn't proven but I was willing to try anything to see her. Slicing across both my palms I grabbed the door handles and pushed them open; for a moment they didn't budge and my heart sank, then the thin sheet of magic surrounding the palace disappeared.

On the other side of the door we're Anthony, Laurel and another person I didn't recognize. Anthony relaxed from his stance and the other two followed, "where is she?" Ares beat me to the punch.

The three soldiers stared at each other and led us up the stairs to a room. My heart leapt into my throat the moment my eyes cause sight of her sprawled on the floor, seemingly lifeless.

All of the sudden I was being held back by Anthony and his mate while Ares was locked in the mysterious man's grip, Anthony was yelling but I couldn't hear anything above the blood pumping in my ears.

I eventually broke free and rushed to her side; curling her in my arms, shaking her. At first I didn't even notice that Ares had joined me calling her name like a prayer, too distracted to even ask why he was acting this way.

Ross' eyelids snapped back and she gasped for air. Her golden eyes were filled with confusion and then realization.

"Luc?" Unable to control myself, I smashed my lips against hers, not caring about the explaining I had to do, I was just glad to have her back.
