Rossiya Moretti POV

I inspected myself, clean clothes and fresh breath; Melly must have been taking care of me while I was out. I would need to thank her for that. After a few seconds I decided to go downstairs and meet everyone; I had just gotten to the last step when voices filtered through the hallway. "I've spoken to him but the man won't budge, he's even sleeping around with ladies at court just to spite me," a foreign voice said. My heart ached, I'll admit but I stomped on that feeling before it it bloom into something more.

Thrusting my chin up arrogantly I rounded the corner to see a crowded living room, "well, this is nice."

The words had just left my mouth when I was pulled into a bear hug without warning. I patted Ellis' back and laughed, he really was a softie. Melly was the next person to pull me into her arms, then my uncle and finally Luc. They all looked like they had aged a few decades in the last three days. I couldn't help but feel bad. I shifted my gaze towards the two obvious twins and the very very large dog. I was not a fan of dogs, especially big ones. It was laying down but I knew without getting close that he could probably be at my waist if he stood.

"Allow me to introduce myself," the blue eyed twin started, "my name is Hypnose, God of sleep and the one who knocked you out when you lost all logic and reas-" he couldn't finish his sentence because his brother smacked the back of his head so hard there was a resounding clap. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Forgive him your highness, he has no manners,"
"Says the ones who came here uninvited."
"Shut up."
He looked back at me and smiled softly, "I am Thanatos, God of death and this is Cerberus; it is an honor to meet our queen." There was something about them, something other than the obvious feeling of loyalty. It felt like almost the same as with my uncle. Just like having a sixth sense, I knew these two and the big dog were on my side.

Sitting down with everyone else I asked to be briefed on what happened while I was knocked out. Needless to say, a lot had happened; to much for me to soak in all at once.

To put it simply news of Hades' second mate spread like wildfire throughout the community, underworld included and now the royal court was asking him to bring in the rightful queen. Thanatos had managed to convince them to wait a little longer using my status as Fae nobility; even with that, he wasn't sure how long it would be before they took it up with the council. Unlike their king, residents of the realm seemed to have regained hope.

Other than that the royal court in the fae kingdom was demanding an audience with the long lost princess and Varda had been outright ignoring them.   I eventually decided to meet them when we had a perfect story in place, lest they try to dig deeper about my roots. Lucellion has been called back to his own territory as well but surprise, surprise he had also waved them away in dismissal. I didn't understand it at first but later remembered the so called blood path he made.

He explained that for Lamia, they're blood is sacred so blood sharing is something that can only be done when one is ready and willing to pledge themselves and their souls to serve it be with someone; it's an oath that cannot be broken. I couldn't help but look at him like he had grown an extra head, who makes an eternal oath to someone they just met? To him it made the most sense, because his kind were loyal to mine but I couldn't help but wonder if there was more than what he was letting on. I didn't question him though.

I told them about needing to train and my plans on becoming the underworld's queen after I saw the state of disarray it had been in. Of course Ellis and Varda objected to it, saying I had no obligation to do such a thing and even if I did, it was too soon but in the end they gave in. They knew that if I didn't decide this on my own then the council would do it for me, after all it was for the 'greater good'. I knew what I was signing up for; the responsibility of an entire world and a loveless marriage of convenience but there had to be a reason why things ended up this way and seeing so many souls in turmoil pained me.

So it was settled, I would stay here and train in combat and aristocratic life as well as the political structure and culture of what was to be my new home.

One thing weighed in my mind though, who was the woman Hades had fallen so in love with that he had neglected himself and his kingdom and what happened to her? I didn't voice my thoughts because that was his story to tell.

So it was settled, I would ready myself so I could fulfill the promise I made to the lady in black.
