Heart To Heart

"Hey, wake up. Let's talk." Ruby said, flicking Eli. Eli groggily opened his eyes. He had fallen asleep in one of the stiff chairs in the hospital waiting room.

"Did you just wake up? Are you okay?" Eli asked.

"Oh, I've been awake for a while. You're cute when you're sleeping. I'll be fine, but the doctor said I won't be able to teleport for a week."

"How are the others?"

"They stitched up where Zen's ear was, and they gave Gene a sleeping pill to calm him down. As for Lucy, they said it was a miracle the wound didn't get infected. They just closed her up and she was back on her feet. She's with Johnny, he's asleep in one of the spare rooms. Gene and Zen went ahead to purchase that van that that woman was talking about. Apparently, Zen has a fortune in inheritance money that he's able to access." "

Do you still have that earpiece he gave you?"

"Oh, I do, but Lucy said she lost hers when she was shot." Ruby put her hand up to her ear. "Ok, wow great timing. They got the van; they're coming to pick us up now. You go get Johnny and Lucy; I'll meet you outside." She started walking away. "By the way." She turned back to Eli and smirked. "You're my boyfriend now, no takebacks." She giggled and walked away.

Johnny woke up to find Lucy staring at him. "What's up." He said, trying to sound casual and putting his hand behind his head.

"I was just thinking about earlier." Lucy responded, actually sounding casual. "When you gave me your shirt earlier, I got a peak at your chest." She snickered, and Johnny blushed. "How can you be seventeen and not have even a single chest hair?" Johnny blushed harder, and he was unable to look Lucy in the eyes. "Hey, look at me." Lucy used her power to make Johnny unable to break eye contact with her. She blushed. "It's okay, it's kinda cute actually. And you know what else is cute?" At this point, Johnny was blushing harder than anyone had ever before without passing out. Lucy put her hands on his cheeks. "Your face." She said, giving him a long kiss. Johnny fainted. The door opened, and Lucy turned to see Eli standing in the doorway.

"He's still asleep?" Eli asked.

"I don't think he's gonna wake up for awhile." Lucy giggled. Hearing her, Eli turned to see that Johnny's face was red and contained a wide, drooling smile.

"Oh!" He snickered. "So, is it official between you two?"

"Oh, don't tease, that's more Ruby's cup of tea."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Ruby told me she's been teasing you ever since school started. If you haven't noticed, then your more blind than Zen."

"So that's what that was. She was never gonna kiss me.

"what?"

"Well, are you dating my brother or not?" Eli asked.

"Are you aware that my best friend has had a hard crush on you ever since she saw you?" Lucy asked back, dodging the initial question.  Eli was never one to dodge a question.

"Yeah, we just started dating like two minutes ago. Anyway, Zen bought a van, mind helping me carry Johnny onboard?"
