Sarah got up and checked the time. It was 6:46, the time she always got up, and not of her own volition. Ever since she was murdered at that time 16 years ago, whenever she fell asleep, she would only wake up once the clock struck 6:46 A.M. She was 23 now, and the killer still hadn't been caught. Once the killer died, Sarah would become fully human again. She won't be able to fly or phase through walls, but she will be able to do things such as eat, drink, have children, feel heat, and kiss her boyfriend. Sarah lived on the second story of the school. Her room was one of the only rooms on this story, the only others being for the teachers and Joel. Sarah heard Joel wake up and exit his room.
"What are you doing up?" She said to him. "You need to be getting as much sleep as possible if you want that injury to go away quickly."
"Do you realize what day it is?" He asked her.
"Uh Monday?"
"It's Thanksgiving, and I know you can't eat, but I've made some friends who can, and we're going to cook for their friends." He walked away. Sarah looked out the window. She could see many security guards. Ever since Alexander left the principal hired many security guards to keep the good people in and the bad people out, and they were still working even after Alexander's return.
"All right we have arrived." Proso spoke as she was pulling in towards the school dorm house. "You should have enough time to go to your rooms and get properly dressed before class starts if you hurry." As she parked the van a security guard walked up them.
"Are you students here?" He asked.
"Yes." A few of them responded.
"Okay." The guard said before walking away, clearly not being paid enough to even question why supposed students would be driving. The group quickly hurried into their rooms, changed out of the plan tees and shorts given to them by the hospital, changed into proper school attire, put up their bloody costumes, and all headed to class together. Gene led, followed by Johnny, holding Lucy, who still didn't feel great after the day long car ride. Following them were Eli and Ruby. Zen and Proso were holding hands in the back. As they reached the classroom, they saw the door open. To their surprise the man who poked his head out was Alexander.
"Guys!" He said with a smile that could rival Joy's. "I'm so so glad you made it. Happy Thanksgiving! Me and Dragon Lady made you guys' breakfast." As the class entered, they saw on their desks their favorite breakfast food.
"This is why he asked everyone their favorite food." Gene thought. "He wasn't just an awkward kid trying to make small talk." Gene noticed that there wasn't any food on his desk, nor was there on the desks of Desmond, Joy, or Yin. He looked around. Mr. Sam was asleep in his chair and appeared to have grown hair. But what struck him was that near the nightstand that previously held the lamp that Johnny broke was a horned woman with her back turned to him. The woman was pouring syrup onto a stack of waffles.
"Ah, Gene, I just finished yours." The woman said before turning around and placing the waffles onto Gene's desk. Gene recognized the woman.
"I have one more surprise for everyone." Alexander said. "You all know Dragon Lady, my girlfriend. Well, she's real flesh and blood now, and she's our newest classmate." "
I hate to break it to you." Zen said politely to Alexander. "But I've brought an even newer classmate. Meet my girlfriend, Proso Moiosi." Proso's eyes lit up as Zen called her his girlfriend for the first time.
"Oh, sorry ma'am." Alexander said. "If I knew you were coming I would've cooked you something."
"That is okay." Proso said, staring at Zen. "I've never eaten before anyway."
"hah me neither, want to try together?" Dragon Lady said.
Gene walked up to Alexander. "Do you know where Joy and Yin and Desmond are?" He asked.
"Well Desmond hasn't been seen since Friday, and I've heard he was in on the attack. As for Joy, she was hurt doing the attack, and she's been in a coma all weekend. Yin hasn't left her side." Gene wished to say something more but was interrupted by the starting bell. "Go eat." Alexander said. "Before your waffles get cold." Gene was hungry, so he did as Alexander suggested.
