Alexander walked with Dragon Lady, who now went by Karla, to her dorm room so that she could change clothes. When they got to the door, she went in while Alexander waited outside. Moments later, he saw Ruby walk down the hall up to him.

"Hey." She said. "Mr. Sam sent me to get you back to class."

"I'm waiting for Dragon Lady right now." Alexander responded. "By the way, she's going by Karla now.

"Oh, okay." Ruby said, not inquiring further.

"Actually, I have something I need to tell you." Alexander said. "But you have to promise never to tell anyone."

"Go ahead, I totally won't tell anyone."

"On that first day, when I gave you that new hairstyle." Alexander started, noticing that Ruby had indeed been putting her hair into that style every day since. "It was a lie; I don't actually have the power of handiness. I found a guy who got me these small metal things that I put on my wrists, and they helped me do your hair.  "Cool." She said to Alexander's shock. "Is Karla done yet? I really don't care about you lying. My hair looks great, and that's what matters. So, thanks for lying. I'll pay you back by keeping your secret." Just then Karla exited her room, now dressed properly, and the three walked back in silence.

"Here's what you missed, Karla." Mr. Sam said, handing Karla a small stack of papers. "You're in luck, we are forced to give you students a week off at this time, but none of you first years are allowed to leave campus. Use this time to finish this work, and merry Christmas."

At the end of the day, as Karla was walking back to her dorm room, she was accompanied by Alice.

"When we found you." Alice said. "I took some blood, and I noticed something odd. It matched with someone I know, someone from another universe. You remember that lady I told you about? Libelle. I-I-I-I-I think she might actually be your mother, in one way or another. Karla, how would you and Alexander like to spend the Christmas break with relatives in another universe?
