" Well with the way you guys keep arguing, I'm expecting an enemies to lovers. Maybe if you'd stop flirting with your enemy, I'd think different. "

  ~ Deb's POV ~

It was Thursday night, there was a bunch of tension between Marsha and Ophelia, although I was completely on Ophelia's side, I couldn't help but imagine what it would be like if Marsha and Ophelia were in an enemies to lovers type of thing. I mean, it's college, anything could happen. Don't tell her I said or even thought that.

I was currently sitting on my couch, I didn't know what to watch since Netflix wasn't really satisfying my boredom. I could watch Disney+ but then again, I didn't want to, so I stared at the blank screen before grabbing my phone. Music was the only other option, that and studying but why would I study for something that hasn't been given to me yet? Do I look like Ophelia, Winslow, or Aurora?

Not to mention that I'm home alone, the three musketeers decided to have a study group today but i didn't want to go. However, I was hoping that Ophelia bumped into Marsha, just so that she could bring some tea to this empty mug.

"I am so bored that I'm praying my best friend has a run in with her enemy, God I need something to do."

I muttered to myself as I got up from the couch,  my music began playing as I grabbed my earbuds and plugged them into my phone.

I was getting a little bit hungry and I was not in the mood to cook for myself, but then again, when am I ever? I cook whenever I was craving something and wanted to make it homemade. I was sort of craving something savory with a drink that was sweet but not too sweet.

Screw it, I'm going to go to the coffee shop to grab something to drink and then possibly order chicken or something. I grabbed my dorm keys, phone and wallet before exiting my dorm. As I made my way onto campus grounds, Ophelia was seen, and to my luck, she was in fact arguing with Marsha.

Being the nosey person that I am, I walked over slowly and stood by a building, I was close enough to see them but not close enough to hear them. I mentally kicked myself for not going closer but I didn't want to get caught, I'll just have to ask Ophelia what happened when they're done. I checked to see if they were still arguing but they seemed to be exchanging mean glares before walking away.

I quickly walked from the building and pretended to walk to the coffee shop, I didn't want to seem suspicious but I knew that Ophelia was going to catch on. My stomach growled a tiny bit which meant that I shouldn't wait around any longer and just go get my food.

"Hey Leia, how are you doing?"

I asked as I approached her with a grin playing on my lips, we both knew I couldn't play it cool so why even try?

"Before you even think or say it, we aren't enemies and we most certainly will never become lovers."

Ophelia spat as she stopped walking, I looked at her and sighed. She knew me too well, I couldn't even get the word out before she caught me.

"Did you guys kiss though? Make out maybe?"

I asked jokingly, which earned a slap on my arm from the visibly annoyed girl.

"We did not kiss! God, you are being so unbearable at the moment."

I could only giggle, I don't want people thinking I'm a bad friend for pushing on the subject. All best friends act like this, one has an issue with a person while the other makes jokes before taking it serious.

" Well with the way you guys keep arguing, I'm expecting an enemies to lovers. Maybe if you'd stop flirting with your enemy, I'd think different. "

I smiled, Ophelia rolled her eyes and sighed, I'm guessing she's finally accepting the fact that I'm not going to let this go until I am ready to, or until something happens and I have to take it seriously.

   "Where are you headed anyways?"

"Oh, to the coffee shop, I'm thirsty and hungry. Want to join me?"

I invited, Ophelia nodded her head without a second thought and together, we walked off of campus and to the coffee shop.

Our friendship may seem a little confusing to others but to us, everything was just right. I mean, I enjoyed being able to tease her and she being able to bite right back, but I felt comfort whenever we spent time together not bickering.

Still, I'm going to make fun of her, hardcore if I need to. What can I say? I'm the bestest friend Ophelia can have, not to sound narcissistic though.
