XII. Wait, We Have An Exam?

  Chapter 12,
     Wait We Have An Exam?

  " Why would I try to defend myself, Ophelia knows it, Aurora knows, I know it. I really don't feel the need to try and lie about it, but I did have a good sleep. "

  ~ Deb's POV ~

   "I'm just saying, every Disney villain to have ever appeared on the screen, had a reason to be as evil as they seem."

   I spoke as I took a sip from my apple juice box, Aurora looked at me and shook her head with a slight smile.

   "Then explain why Hans wanted to kill Anna?"

  "Easy, Anna's a bitch and wanted to marry someone she just met. That one was on her and we all know it."

   I retorted, I saw no lies in my statement for the reason that you should never try to date or marry someone you just met. Imagine if that was your cousin or something, you'd live with that regret for the rest of your days and possibly more.

  "Ruthless, that's what you are."

  Winslow muttered towards me as he took a bite out of his glazed donut. I only rolled my eyes jokingly before moving a little bit so Ophelia can settle down.

  "How come you spent almost five hours in the library? Do we have a midterm coming up or something?"

  I questioned as my best friend took out her laptop and rested it on top of the table, she only looked at me as if I was the dumbest person on the planet before pinching the bridge of her nose.

   "Yes, we do. If you'd stop sleeping in class and finally pay attention then you'd know we have a quiz two weeks from now based on the black plague."

   My jaw dropped as I realized that I was not going to be prepared for that test, I hardly know what year the black plague came about. I'm definitely getting kicked out of college.

  "You're not going to defend yourself? I mean Ophelia literally said you sleep in class and never obtain any type of information, which is true but.."

   Winslow's voice trailed off as he looked at me, I only shook my head.

  " Why would I try to defend myself, Ophelia knows it, Aurora knows, I know it. I really don't feel the need to try and lie about it, but I did have a good sleep. "

    I answered, I wasn't proud of the fact that I was always falling asleep in class but it wasn't something to be that ashamed of. I still pass my classes with good grades and none of the teachers have spoken to me about it. Don't try this at school kids.

  Winslow only sighed and nodded his head as he finished his donut, we were currently in the coffee shop since this was where we wanted to meet to check in with one another. Obviously I'm now stressed because I'm going to fail a midterm but i have no idea how my friends feel.

  "So Deb, are you ready for the chemistry exam we have this Friday?"

   Aurora suddenly asked me, I looked at her and shook my head vigorously.

   "Wait hold on, we have an exam this week?!"

  I felt as my heart race began to quicken as I knew that I'd definitely be given the boot if I fail both of my exams. Just as I was about to get up from my seat and bolt out of the coffee shop, Aurora began to laugh.

  "I'm just messing with you, but Ophelia isn't wrong. Deb, you need to pay attention in class and for once, not fantasize about love."

   Aurora informed me as her laughter died down, I only nodded my head and sighed before asking Ophelia if she can help me study for our midterm.

  This was not what I wanted to do but I wasn't fond of the idea of getting the boot, so this was what I had to do. Could you tell that I want to jump in front of a bus instead of study for a test? Or maybe peep the sarcasm.

   Either way, I lied. College does not seem to be going as smoothly as I thought it was, I hate when I'm wrong.
