" Our first college party, I am not about to miss out on it, besides, it's never a party without you going. I won't force you if you don't want to come though, everything is just better with you. "

~ Deb's POV ~

Just as I suspected, the minute we got to the coffee shop, Ophelia began to spill everything that had happened between her and Marsha. As much as Ophelia explained her hatred for Marsha, I felt like it would soon blossom into love. She's probably sick of my ass by now, but who cares? Not me, just kidding.

I loved listening to my best friend rant however, I didn't mind being filled in on things that I wasn't apart of as I did the same. It never bothered me how we do our own things with people who share  the same interest, I knew where I stood in her heart. That's all that really matters to me anyways.

We were back at home now, I was in my bedroom, grabbing clothes before I went to go take a shower while Ophelia was in the living room, talking to Aurora. So far, I was excited to start college, I felt like everything would be fine even if it actually isn't.

Once I was in the bathroom and inside of the tub, I allowed myself to plan out what I was going to do when the school year began. I was a little nervous so I thought I'd hype myself up a bit, just so that I didn't scare myself into dropping out.

I knew everything was going to be just fine, not to sound like I depended on Ophelia, but I knew that as long as I had her, everything would be fine. She was the one who talked me into going to college, and she's the one who makes sure I do good in my classes.

My shower took about an hour long which I didn't mind, but the minute I got out, it was like the cold air had pierced my skin like bullets. I grabbed my towel quickly and made sure I was dry, no droplets to be found. I dressed in my pajamas and walked out of the bathroom, I was a little tired but not too much.

Considering it was around one in the morning, I couldn't find myself to be able to fall asleep, I was just lying awake in my warm bed. I had nothing to do.

  Ding!

My phone had gotten a notification, before I got the chance to check the message that I got, Aurora began to call me. I sighed and sat up before grabbing my phone off of the charger and answering the call.

  "Are you coming?"

Aurora immediately asked, I was a little confused as to what she was talking about.

  "Elaborate on that please."

I asked as I got up from my bed and walked towards the front door, I turned on my bedroom lights and sat back on my bed.

"There's a party that Chelsea is hosting, she says all grades are invited. I'm going, Winslow isn't though."

Aurora answered, I could hear her shuffling around which probably meant that she was getting dressed for the party.

This was something that I needed, I was so bored and a party is just what I needed to satisfy my bored.

"Yeah sure, meet me in front of my dorm, I'll go ask Ophelia if she wants to go."

Aurora squealed a bit before whispering a bye, I hung up the call and walked out of my bedroom. Ophelia was sitting on the couch, reading another romance book.

"Aurora invited us to a party, do you want to go?"

I asked, the girl dog-eared my book and looked up at me.

"You know i don't do parties, what's so much fun about dancing with sweaty ass teens and having to deal with the smell of liquor, weed, and throw up? Not to mention the pounding head ache you get whether or not you're sober throughout the night."

Ophelia retorted, I sighed, I didn't mind parties but obviously she did.

"I'm going, I thought you'd have a change of heart and want to come with me."

I spoke honestly, Ophelia only sighed and shook her head.

"I don't know why you'd expect that, I'm not fond of change and you knew that since day one. Why do you even want to go? I think we're good in the comfort of our dorm."

She was right, as long as we stood in our dorm we would be safe from any harm that would be lurking at the party, but only she thought that way. I wanted to experience this party and have fun, and possibly make friends with people who are similar to me.

" Our first college party, I am not about to miss out on it, besides, it's never a party without you going. I won't force you if you don't want to come though, everything is just better with you. "

I wasn't going to force Ophelia to go to a party she didn't want to go, but a little convincing never hurt anybody. There was a moment of silence before she got up and nodded her head slowly.

"Fine, I'll go with you, but the minute you get even the slightest bit of drunk, we are coming back here. Understood?"

I only nodded my head happily before rushing back to my room, I wanted to dress pretty as if I was one of those popular girls from the movies.

Middle school me would be screaming out of excitement, this convincing would have never worked four years ago.
