Sam came back in the room to Bucky and Chelsea wrapped up in each other, she was sound asleep. Bucky moved his hand from her back and put it over his lips, shushing Sam. Sam just smirked at him.

Sam sat in the chair across from the couch. "Someone is recreating the serum" he said, in a hushed tone.

Buckys eyes widened but he didn't move, he didn't want to wake the sleeping girl. He knew how she felt, he had just lost Steve a few months ago. He recognized the ache she felt learning about Natasha.

"Hydra?" Bucky said in a whisper, Chelsea stirred a little in his lap and he rubbed her back a little. Thank goodness she was just adjusting to be comfortable. He didn't want to wake her, she finally looked peaceful. He couldn't stop himself from looking at her while him and Sam spoke.

She was small, not even coming up to his shoulders. She had long blonde curly hair and soft pale skin. Her skin was smooth, like silk and she smelled divine. Somehow floral but also like vanilla. He could breathe her in all day. She had several tattoos across what he could see of her. Her left arm was covered with them from the top of her shoulder to her wrist. He found himself staring at them, studying them. They were floral and black and white. They looked so feminine, back in the 40s only men got tattoos and they weren't delicate and beautiful like hers. He wanted to touch them. She was wearing long shorts that stopped at her knees and he saw her legs covered in similar art. Even though her eyes were closed he could still picture her soft honey colored eyes, he wondered what they looked like when they weren't clouded with tears. He wondered what her smile looked like. He had to get to know this girl that laid calmly across his lap.

He and Sam had talked for hours about the serum, about the possibility of Hydra being the root cause and why they could go after Chelsea, she had nothing to do with any of this.

"Sam we have to help her" Bucky demanded.

"We will, we have to find out where the serum is coming from and why they think she has it" he replied.

The two talked for a while longer until Sam decided to call it a night and offered to wake Chelsea so Bucky could go home and sleep, they had a lot of work to do tomorrow, a lot of calls to make about the serum. They didnt even know where to start.

Bucky didn't leave though, he told Sam he'd stay with Chelsea until she woke up and then he'd go home, he claimed she was finally resting and he didn't want to bother her. Really he just wanted to be near her, if he could've carried her to his house without waking her he would've.

"Whatever you gotta tell yourself man" Sam said as he firmly patted Buckys shoulder and retreated to his room. Bucky just sat there, holding her, staring at her. At some point he finally dozed off without a single nightmare.

Chelsea woke up with a pounding headache, probably from all the crying she had done yesterday. She also felt stiff. Her head was bent forwards, still laying against Bucky's chest. When she opened her eyes she still saw Bucky, one arm wrapped around her and one arm across her legs in his lap. His head was leaned back on the back of the couch and he seemed to be sound asleep. She didn't know how much time had passed but by the looks of the scenery outside the sun would be rising in a few hours.

She didn't want to wake Bucky, he stayed with her all night, she couldn't figure out why though. But the longer she looked at him the more she liked. He had short dark hair. His jaw was sharp, stunning and covered in a thin layer of stubble. His lips looked so soft and his face looked relaxed. His chest rising and falling softly but she could still see every muscle under his shirt, he was incredibly well built. She was surprised she was so comfortable laying on him with how firm and chisled he was. She wanted a better look at his metal arm but that was the arm wrapped around her.
