Unknown's Point of View
I watched as the girl walked around, seeming lost. Good. I thought, smiling. I couldn't let her get away now.
I pointed the pistol at her, lining the sights up. I couldn't risk the chance of her seeing me.
That stupid horse had sensed me. Otherwise, she could have passed right by me. I crept forward, accidentally snapping another twig. Her face looked towards me for a fraction of a second before she started running.
I fired.
She collapsed when the bullet hit her. The horse kept on running, not noticing the girl was dead, of if she wasn't already, she would be soon.
You couldn't just get back up after a bullet hit you in the back, after all.
I couldn't tell if she was breathing of not, but I didn't really care. I pocketed the pistol before turning to go back to the camp. No doubt I'd be told off for shooting her. But they should expect it if they wanted me to be a guard.
I stopped when I heard another voice, close by. I looked towards the path to see another girl yelling, but instead of red hair, hers was porcelain white.
"Summer! Where are you?" She yelled, taking the horse's reins and tying them to a branch.
She was the one Damien said he needed.
