Maylin's Point of View
I was reading during lunch, and was walking at the same time, so I guess I had it coming.
"Hey, watch it!" Lilly yelled when I bumped into her, nearly spilling her tray.
"Sorry." I mumble, readjusting my glasses on my nose as I shut my book. I made a face behind her back before looking for a table to sit at. I spotted Nicole waving and went over to sit between her and Micky.
"Hey Maylin." Micky said, reaching behind me to smack Nicole's head at something they'd been talking about before I came to sit down.
Nicole retaliated by flicking a pea at her, hitting Me on the nose. "Whoops, sorry 'bout that."
I laughed, and set my book down, reading where I'd left off.
"Hey Maylin? What's that?" Micky asked, pointing to my shoulder.
I looked and laughed. "Whoops, I forgot about that. I got a tattoo after school yesterday."
"A real one? Does your mom know?"
I shook my head. "No way. And don't you dare tell her. But I passed for eighteen, so I could get it. If she knew, she'd throw a fit."
"She'd certainly throw something." Nicole said, holding back a smile. "Remember that one time-"
Harry cut her off. "It's cool. That's an Asian design, right?"
I nodded. "Of course. No offense, but they're way cooler than the ones with wings and a bad attitude. Plus, ours are magical."
Micky faked a gasp. "How can you say that? Our help true love happen in books." She said, giggling a bit.
"And, at the same time burn entire to the ground and fight the prince to the death. Not very flattering." I argued.
"Still. And they guard treasure. Wait, how'd we get on this topic?"
"I think my tattoo." I said, shrugging. I couldn't really remember either.
Harry nodded. "I wonder how Summer and Winter are going to do tomorrow at the show."
"Oh!" Nicole said. "That's where they are. I forgot they skip the day before shows."
I shook my head. "It's not skipping if your excused by your parent.
