Summer's Point of View

I was running. Every step I took sent embers into the air, catching on fire the leaves, stems and trunks in the forest.

But I didn't know what I was running from. All I knew was to follow that primitive, animal-like instinct and get as far away as I could before I was trapped.

But the trap came too soon, and I then saw what I'd been running from. A wildfire was raging after me, the flames licking the sky. A cliff lay behind me, too high to let me see the bottom. And it was hot. So hot.

The fire soon caught up with me, leaping upon my vulnerability like the hungry predator it was. But nothing happened.

I looked at my hands to see that they were fire as well as the rest of my body. I was safe.

I woke up with a gasp, instantly wishing I hadn't. My back and chest felt as if they were having needles shoved into them. I looked down to see them wrapped and a thin trickle of blood leaking out from underneath the odd wrappings.

My memories began to rush towards me.

The pain in my back as I fell to the ground in the forest,Draco's unwillingness to go any further, fading into the darkness.

And then more recently, hearing another voice, unfamiliar and seeming to talk to itself. Waking up and having a large wolf stare at me. Standing up and screaming out of fear and pain before falling to the floor again. And then the dream.

It had been so vivid, so real. But nothing had happened. I was just flesh again, and I couldn't smell smoke.

I looked around and my eyes immediately fell on the wolf. It was laying down, still watching. I whimpered. Wolves and dogs had always scared me, and this situation certainly was not helping at all.

I looked around some more and bit my lip when I realized neither of the horses were here, and worse, Winter wasn't here.

I felt alone and afraid. It hurt too much to stand up, and what would happen when the wolf found that out? No one would know I'm here, only that I didn't come back home.

I gasped. How long had I been out?

I heard small, tiny footsteps and saw the wolf stand, his tail wagging. Great, I thought glumly. The wolf's pack is back for their meal.

But I was surprised to see the figure of a girl instead, small and petite, with dark skin and raven colored hair.

I stayed still when she bent down slightly to rub her hand down the back of the wolf like he was a puppy. It was so odd it was almost funny.

She seemed shocked that I was up because when she looked up at me she blinked a bit, her eyes widening like dinner plates when she saw me. I waved a little, wondering if she knew why I was here and who brought me.

I saw her hands clench and her legs get ready to run, and I wondered if this was a trap. Why did she seem so afraid all of a sudden?

"You're awake." She stated, sounding shocked. "I didn't think that was going to happen." The way she said it was odd, almost as if she really was expecting me to stay asleep.

"How...how did I get here?" I asked, my throat dry and scratchy.

"I dragged you here when I found you, well with Bolta's help." She stated like it was the most reasonable thing to do, to drag a random stranger to a cave while she wasn't awake.

"Why? Wh...what happened? How long have I been asleep?" I asked coughing to try and relieve my throat's pressure.

"I think you were shoot in the back. At least, that's what the holes looked like." She nodded when I absently touched my stomach where the bandage was. Why would that happen?

"And you've been asleep after I found you, for about two days."
