Winter's Point of View

Isaac reared when the gun when off, knocking me off the saddle. It was like one of those moments in the movies, when the birds all fly out of the trees.


"Whoa boy." I murmured, stroking his muzzle, trying to calm him down. His eyes were wide, and his breaths were big and hurried, his grey flecked sides expanding. I mounted him again, and galloped towards where the sound had gone off, and more importantly, where Summer had raced off to.


A shape was bolting towards us and I yelped, only to see the all too familiar bay coat of Draco. This wasn't good. I knew Draco would never leave my twin, even if he wasn't a very calm horse and would rather bolt.


"Summer! Where are you?" I yelled, panicking.


I slid off of Isaac's saddle to grab Draco's reins. Whatever had happened, Draco sure didn't want to go back there. He was pulling on the reins, trying to get them out of my grip.


I sighed. "Fine. Have it your way." I muttered, going to tie the reins to a tree branch, doing the same with Isaac's.


I tucked a strand of hair behind my ears absently as I walked.


I saw a form in the shadows and stopped looking at it.


"Summer?" I asked, approaching it. "Is that you?"


I didn't notice the gun until it was too late. The figure pressed the barrel to my temple, causing me to gasp at the cold.


"Show me your hands." The voice ordered, unmistakably female, but defiantly not Summer's.


My hands trembled as I held them out carefully, scared. I didn't want to die. I just wanted to find my sister and get back home.


The girl, I was certain that was what the figure was now, smiled cruelly.


"Damien will be pleased to see I found you." She said, before pulling the gun back and swinging it at me, catching a blow to my head.


I was dimly aware of falling to the ground, and felt a small trickle of blood go down my neck. I couldn't move as black dots danced around my vision, slowly fading into one black screen as I fell unconsious
