Chapter 10: Why do You Let Him Do That to You?

Kate's POV<

When we go home Avery took me to my room and then left without a single goodbye, he left when I wasn't looking. Which I thought was kinda cute, I mean he's nervous, maybe it's his first love (he sure didn't kiss like it was his first love...), whatever I'll give him a day to cool off no big deal. 

But the next day when I came down staries he was acting really weird, like he was really distance but at the same time really sexual. And I know that sounds weird, but you could almost feel the waves of lust coming off him and when I tried to talk to him alone, he'd leave or one of his friends would walk in on us. 

I really shouldn't mind this, I mean it was only a kiss, it's not like I expected us to date, but at the same time....in a way....I had kinda hoped that maybe he would want to. But I knew it was to good to be true, especially when he took Kathryn into a room and locked the door. (Oh hell yeah I checked to see if it was locked.) 

Becka wasn't there because she had to go to her parents to tell them about me. Which I thought was really weird and kinda smiled at her and nodded. She didn't really seem to care, but what I thought was sweet was that when she left I thought I saw Aiden cry. He was differently a keeper boyfriend.

At lunch I saw that the three kids that had been at the introduction where there, they all sat in a row by each other and laughed and joked between themselves. So being the nosy pry I am I walked over and introduced myself again. "Hey, I'm Kate." I said sticking out my hand. 

"Hey" Said (I hate to say it) the better looking twin, "I'm Drew." He shook my hand politely. 

"And I'm Colton, this is our little sister Allie." He pointed to the girl sitting the farest from me. 

"How old are you guys?" I asked.

"Well were both 16 and Allie's like 12ish." Colton said waving his hand at Allie, who playfully smacked it away and said, 

"Actually I'm 14, these idiots are just dumb." As she said this she stuck out her tongue. 

That led them into a long banter which only made me laugh, because Allie was winning and the guys only pressed harder until I felt a wind whip past my face and something landed with a splat against the wall. 

"Oh no...." I groaned as I turned around to see Conner, Ethan, and Kathryn across the table, with spoon and macaroni ready to fire. 

"Ready, set, GO!" yelled Conner who landed and launching on me.

By the time they were done they had me completely covered in Macaroni and the white table cloth ruined and it was at that time that Avery had decided to walk into the room. He looked from me to Conner and back again. He rolled his eyes and took a seat next to Mason where they started talking about video games? Maybe? I don't know what guys talk about. 

I glared at them and then wandered back into the kitchen where I tried to wipe off the access macaroni. I wasn't really angry at them, I mean I kinda had revenge from Kathryn coming when I accidentally wiped chocolate on her best sweater. 

As I was whipping it off, I heard someone come into the kitchen, but I knew who it was. I didn't even turn around when  the person wrapped there around my macaroni covered body. "Sorry about that," He said. 

(IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW IT'S AVERY!! lol)

"It's okay," I said laughing slightly. It's really hard to brush macaroni off your body when a certain person is clinging to you like a monkey.
