Chapter 20: The New And Improved Kate

Kate's POV< 

There was so much pain, everything looked red, I could feel the bones being pushed back into place, the red hot blood swirling in my veins, seeping on to the bed and into my clothes. I couldn't hear myself scream, I could feel my voice breaking and my throat was dry with the wanting of water.

After what seemed like forever the pain suddenly stopped, when I opened my eyes almost everyone was gone. The only people left where Kathryn, Aiden, some girl I didn't know and Becka. Aiden was swiping blood off my legs and arms, Kathryn was sifting through the closet, the random girl was sitting in a chair holding her head and Becka was getting the bathroom ready. 

"She's up." Said Aiden, gently getting up off the bed and walking over to the bathroom. 

"Hey, sweetie how you feeling?" Asked the random girl getting up and coming over to the side of my bed. 

"Who are you?" I asked not excepting my voice to sound so clear. 

She smiled and stood up "I'm Diana, Avery's sister." Turning to Becka she called "She's fine." She smiled at me again and walked out the door. 

"Kate, come here." Becka said holding a towel by the bathroom door. 

WTH, I was just through hell and she expects me to walk? I pushed myself off the bed with surprising ease and set my feet on the cold floor. I walked slowly over to Becka who handing me the towel and told me to take a shower and then come back out.

I stepped out of the shower and took one look in the mirror and almost screamed. I held my mouth shut and looked closer, my face was different, my hair was different, and my body was defiantly different. 

My hair was shorter and curlier then before. My eyes were a striking blue but that wasn't the worst thing my eyes had some gold in them to that scared me, my face was perfectly clear its like I never had pimples before. I was scared to touch my face, because it looked so perfectly fake. 

Finally I pulled myself away from my reflection and opened the door slowly. Becka and Aiden were cuddling on the bed and Kathryn was still the closet. "KATE!" yelled Becka when she saw me, jumping up hug me, but then seeing I was in a towel she stopped. 

"Aiden out!" Said Kathryn not looking out of the closet and pointing towards the door.

Once Aiden was out, Becka clapped her hands and pushed me over to the table where she dried my hair to make it curlier, then she did some dark makeup and put a white headband in my hair and then handed me over to Kathryn put me in a long flowly red shirt with fishnet tights, and a pair of lace up boots that came up to my knees. 

I felt kinda different, I felt like a slut but at the same time powerful. I added some layer necklaces and bracelets, I smiled at my reflection and then laughed. I turned to Becka was felt a smirk come onto my face but I looked prettier then Becka and Kathryn put together. 

I reached out my and felt a tug at my gut, I held out a golden light that stunned Becka and Kathryn and made them fly onto the bed. The door banged open and in that instant Avery's panicked face came into view. 

"Kate?" He asked frozen in place. 

I smirked and sauntered over to him "Hey, babe." 

"What happened to you?" He asked looking me up and down

I don't really know why that hurt, but it stung me in the heart but I ignored it and keep moving. "This is the new and improved Kate, not that boring old Kate." 

I reached him and pushed him up against the door frame, taking him by surprise. I ran my hand over his broad chest and feeling him shiver gave me so much power. I smirked and kissed his neck, I loved the way he tensed up when he was around me. 

"Kate, seriously what happened, you were on your death bed and now your perfectly fine?"

"I'm more then fine, I'm amazing!" I said stepping back into the room and twirling around so that the red shirt came up and he could see the underwear that were not so hidden under the fishnets. 

"That's not possible thought, you were dead." Avery said backing away. 

"Avery, Avery wait!" I called all my power flooding from my body. 

I ran after him but he was long gone, so I decided that I'll let him come and get it when he's ready. 

Even if it takes forever.
