Kate's POV<

Once Avery told me about his...condition I felt like we were connected. I almost laughed out loud, because we were like Beauty and the Beat, a monster and a mortal together forever. (Even though Avery could never be a monster!!) I know I should have been scared out of my mind or at least concerned for Avery's well being, but I wasn't I was totally cool with it, I mean I've always loved those books about mortals falling in love with a handsome vampire or werewolf or maybe even a fairy. I mean how many girls can say they have a super hot werewolf boyfriend! 

After the little make-out session in the 'wolf cave', Avery led me back up to the living room where it seemed there was a fight going on. Avery's mom and dad were having a heated discussion about someone I'm guessing because when we entered the room they stopped. 

Avery's dad smiled at me while Avery's mom glared at me and sat down in a white leather chair in a huff. All of the 'were-wolfs' (LOL) were sitting around them talking, laughing, and picking on each other just as we left them. 

Aiden and Becka were cuddled up on the love-seat across from Conner, Drew, Colton, and Meggie.   Conner was trying to convince them to do something because every few seconds Becka would smile and shake her head no. Kathryn was staring at Isaiah who was what looked like trying to impress Hilary. Zayn stood in the corner quietly talking with Allie and Ethan. 

Avery smiled at them then wandered over to his parents who looked to be pissed at each other. I looked around and saw Becka smiled and wave me over, and when Conner was me he jumped up and ran over to me pulling me over to sit with them. 

"Soooo......" Colton asked sitting forward. 

"So what?" I asked suspiciously.

"What happened?" He said putting his hands on his knees and pretending to look interested. 

"Nothing much, I just happen to find out that your all were-wolfs!!!" I practically shout. 

They all look guilty and excited at the same time, Becka and Aiden exchange a look between them. "Well your still here so that means that your not totally freaked!" Said Allie coming and sitting down on Becka's lap while pushing Aiden over who was practically glued to her. 

"No I think it's kinda cool, I mean how many girls can say they have a werewolf boyfriend and best friends!" 

"Us." They all said at the same time. 

"I hate you..." I said standing up and stretching. "Well you meanies I'm going to bed because I'm tired and I've had a long day. 

As I was walking away Kathryn jumped up from her sitting position and ran over to me saying, "Wait just a second please!" She reached me and pushed my loose hair away from my neck and touched the bite mark. "Oh, my god! You've been marked!!" She said smirking. 

That's when Avery ran over and pulled me away from her and walked up the stairs saying to Kathryn as we left, "Thanks Kathryn really thanks," He almost growled. We heard her call up the stairs at we left, "Good luck with The Heat! Your gonna need it!" Her laughter died out as we walked down the hall to my room. 

"Avery what's The Heat?" I asked looking up at him. 

"The Heat....is.....well..." He said rubbing the back of his neck. "well.....its.....kinda.....like...a.....I.....mean.....its....a.....time.....where you go through a time of....well.....sexually longing......at....least that's what they told us." He said, and I swore he could have been blushing.
