A date

Charlie's POV:

I woke up today with Nick by my side and not Ben. We had just been cleared by Geoff that we were fine to continue with our lives and the incident only had a small effect on us. Ben got eleven years in jail and when he gets out if he goes near us it's another five years back in jail. Tori and Micheal are okay too and we've all moved on. Though Nick seems awfully excited today and I want to find out why.

"Hey bubs?" I ask trying not to sound suspicious.

"Mhm" Nick says in between bites.

"Why are you so excited?" I ask.

Nicks coughs swallowing his food awkwardly, before adding.

"Why do you ask that?"

"I don't know it's just that your super happy today" I say.

"Well, ummm it's a surprise" he blurts.

"What surprise?" I inquire.

"Wait and find out" Nick teases.

Nick starts to continue to eat his scrambled eggs as my mind ponders about what we're doing today. MAYBE HES PROPOSING! I think, no I want to do that, maybe I should let him. No but I want to. Nah I should let him. But I should propose. No I'll let Nick propose.

"Don't start thinking about it, you won't guess it" Nick smiles.

"But whyyyyy" I whine. "Tell me pleaseeeeee"

"No." 

"Bu-"

"No I'm not saying it's happening today though did not worry you don't have to keep thinking for a little while longe but go get ready we'll be going to our surprise soon"

I get up and trudge up the stairs in defeat. Maybe it's not proposing, not eating, beach? No he wouldn't he knows I would freak out, A holiday no he has work a lot this week and can't ditch it, different outcomes flood my head and I can't think of something that he would do that doesn't take lots of time. In defeat I get ready and go downstairs.

Nick then gives me a kiss on my cheek and heads up to our bedroom, I hear Nick upstairs and it's almost like when I nearly cut the morning before and Nick woke up. I wait a few minutes until Nick comes down the stairs.

"Come on hot stuff let's go" Nick says.

"Ok and don't call me hot stuff" I say.

"Ok hotcakes" He teases.

"Your unbelievable" I say.

"Unbelievable and hot" He says.

"Let's go I'm getting impatient I wanna know the picnic" I say.

"Ok let's go" he says.

Nicks POV

I have this amazing plan for Charlie and I it's going to be amazing nothing is going to stop it I have Elle and Tao setting it up.  After Charlie's near death experience I want to show him how much I love him and I'll propose in few months I just need time to prepare and plan everything to make it perfect! We climb into the car and I start to drive towards our destination, the car is quiet and I know Charlie's thinking about all it could be but I'm not telling his this time.
