I had been an hour since I woke up. Steve had been sitting next to me and with his head hung low. The whole team was in silence and in a deep thought. Our worst fears had been shown to us, more of like we experienced it. Clint still seemed fine and Tony, well, he was in utter silence. Nat had been zoning out every time someone talked to her. She hadn't recovered from it yet. Thor kept pacing around while Bruce sat in a corner with a blanket on him. He looked drained and I, lets just say I'm not okay. All of Bucky's words had hit me hard. It may be a dream but everything he said was close to true. His words kept ringing in my mind. I tried calming down by playing with some flames and shaping them into objects. I even made a rose and a bird. It did help in the process. "That looks beautiful." Steve said. "Thankyou. How are you feeling?" I asked him. "I should be the one asking but well yea, still recovering." I just nodded. "It was her magic. It wasn't Bucky who said that all to you, okay? He would never." I nodded and then he pulled me into a side hug. "Guys, we're gonna land now so hold on tight." Clint announced from his seat in the cockpit. "Where is he taking us?" I whisper to Steve. "He says its a safe house." I nodded and put on my seatbelt. We land a few minutes later.

The doors of the quinjet open to reveal us to a farm. There was greenery around and in the middle of it had been a house. It looked beautiful. I walked next to Steve and Thor while Clint supported Natasha. She had been hurt. We walked to the porch and saw many wooden chairs and a swing with tables kept around. Small plants had been kept around while some were hung next to the wind chimes. Clint lead the way while all of us except Nat looked confused. "What's this place?", Thor asked. "A safe house." Tony replied. "Lets hope." He opened the door. The couch was kept nice while there were toys and color crayons laying around. "Honey, I'm home" he announced. Just then a heavily pregnant woman walked into the living room looking shocked and happy. "Hi. Company. Sorry I didn't call ahead." "Hey", she said and then kissed Clint. "This is an agent of some kind." Tony said to me and Thor. "Gentlemen and ladies, this is Laura" Clint said to the team. "I know your names and then soon we were joined by his kids. A girl and a boy. He then introduced them as Lila and Cooper. Tony still kept on his banter. "They are smaller agents" he whispered to us again while I was focused on the kids and Thor mistakenly stepped on some blocks house. He quickly brushed them behind the boxes and gave us a warning look. The girl, Lila, walked towards me and Thor.

I quickly hid behind Steve who was next to me. They reminded me of a mission where there were kids. To be honest, I'd like to erase that memory from my head. Ever since then, I've felt uneasy around them. Steve put his arm protectively in front of me immediately to ensure that nothing went wrong. After the short introductions with Steve and Tony, Thor left the place. Steve followed after him. Laura then came up to me. "You must be Ana. It's really nice to meet you." "Hi, Laura." I said as I gave a short but quick smile. "Thanks for picking up Clint. He felt like a princess" she chuckled. "Yea he did say that." She then turned around to Clint. "We don't have many rooms but I'm sure you guys can bunk in pairs." "Yea that won't be a problem." Clint said and left to get the rooms ready. Tony chose the couch considering he wanted some space after everything that had happened with the team, Ultron and him. Nat chose to bunk with Bruce so that she can put Hulk to lullaby as soon as he starts showing but I knew that wasn't the real reason. I was left with Steve to share the room along with. Laura handed me some of her old clothes and some towels so that we could dress comfortably. Tony being Tony, already had spare clothes in the jet so he didn't had to use Clint's. Just for some moment, I got reminded of Bucky. How had he really been? I know I had to give him time but after the whole brain infiltration thing, I'll have to look for him after the situation gets under control. I heard Steve's voice which broke my train of thoughts. "Hmm? You said something?" I asked him quickly. "I said let's get to the room. You okay there?" "Uh yea. Yea." I nodded and left the living room with him.

He opened the door to our supposed room. It wasn't much. It was even better than the ones I usually used to stay undercover during HYDRA. Lets not even talk of the Avengers Tower room. It was a literal hotel suite. I kept the clothes on the bed and sat down. Steve quickly arranged the clothes in the wardrobe and sat next to me. "I know its too much to handle but trust me, Bucky would never say like that. It was a made up thing." He tried convincing. "It was so real, Steve. But your right. I'll try to move past it but I have to find him. I don't know how he must be doing. Is he safe from HYDRA? Is-is he even alive?" I felt tears falling from my eyes. Steve held my right hand. "We will find him. I promise you." I gave him a weak nod and gave him a hug. He hugged me back. I was the one to break the hug. "I'll take the shower first. If that's fine with you." he said first. "Yea, no problem." He then headed inside while I looked around the room. I stood next to the window in the room and looked outside. I saw Clint and Laura walking together outside. I couldn't believe he had a wife. That bastard never told us. Well, Nat knew but still. They're cute though. I smiled as I looked at them. It scared me how Clint was dealing with work and Ultron when his wife was close to expecting their newborn. He always put up a brave face and accompanied us in the missions, with constant pressure of staying alive for his family, his people. He is a real hero in my eyes. Can I ever have a family like this? A peaceful place to stay for the rest of my life. Will I ever find my person? My love? The Avengers are my people and I will do anything to protect them and Bucky. He is my person too. While I was thinking of all this, Steve opened the bathroom door and stepped out wearing a tight blue shirt and jeans. "Hey. You can go in now. Saved some hot water." "Thankyou" I said.

I took a pair of clothes that Laura gave me and my towel. I closed the door behind me and stripped down from my suit quickly. I stepped in the shower and turned it on. The water splashed onto my face and chest. The dirt from my face and body got washed down with the water. The blood from my head wound mixed with the warm water and went down the drain. I tried washing off today's happenings from my mind by rubbing lavender shampoo onto my head and washing it vigorously as it was a plague. It was a quick shower. I dried my body and wrapped the towel around my chest. I stood in front of the mirror of the sink. I wiped the fog on it and stared at my reflection but all I saw was HYDRA. They made me the person I am today. This body. These murderous hands. Even though I had become an Avenger, I still looked the same. Like when I was in HYDRA. I saw a pair of scissors next to the sink so I did the most suitable thing to do when you want to leave your past behind you. I took it in my hands and cut my brown locks till my shoulder. It was done quickly since I was used to it. HYDRA would always have me trim Bucky's hair then. I quickly cleaned up the mess and then looked at myself in the mirror. It was me but different and new. I felt like I had let go a part of me that was locked in with HYDRA. I felt better. I dressed up quickly into a black shirt and some knee length brown pants. It fit me fine but was still a little loose. I stepped out of the bathroom and set down my suit. I hung on a hangar and put it to dry. I headed downstairs to the living room. I found Nat over there with a pained look on her face. She wore a black maxi dress and covered it with a woolen scarf over a shoulders. She turned back and looked at me smirking. "Loving the new look. What made you do that?" she asked with a smile. "Just felt like it. Trying to leave the past behind you know.." She just nodded. "Hey I couldn't ask you earlier but how are you?" I asked her with concern. She took a deep shuddering breath. "The girl dug deeper into my past memories, the once I'd like to put behind. But she won't get to do that again. This time, I will make sure she suffers for it." Nat replied. She then handed me a plate of toast and eggs. "Steve asked me to hand it to you. He wanted you to eat something so you don't pass out from dehydration and hunger. God he's such a grandpa, I swear." That made me laugh. Knowing that no matter what I've done, I had this family behind my back to care of me, made me feel loved by my people. I truly love them all.
