I was too stunned to speak for a few seconds. I slowly got up from my seat, because apparently my body reacted faster than my mind.
"You have some damn nerve to come here, eh!" I chewed out those words and about to grab the light lamp from the bedside table.
I was going to crack that dickhead's head open. But couldn't. As if Ron predicted my inner thoughts and grabbed my hand along with the lamp. I looked at him and found him shaking his head calmly at me.
I scrunched up my nose a little in annoyance then slowly and unwillingly let go of that lamp.
"Do you have any business here?" Ron asked in a very calm tone. He was still gripping my wrist.
"No matter how much feud we had, I can't ignore the fact that my friend is in hospital." He slowly walked in the room with a big flower bouquet, with white lilies. My blood instantly went up to my brain. That bouquet screamed of a funeral house. How could he bring something like that in the hospital?!
"I heard you were attacked. How have you been?" He placed that bouquet on the coffee table.
"Not bad." Ron smiled.
"That's good to hear." Rupert let go a very big sigh to show how relieved he felt. "Any idea who did it?"
Like hell he did.
"I didn't know, you work for the police now?" I freed my hand from Ron and crossed them over my chest. "Why? Does your business completely shut down? What happened?" I smirked at him. His jaw clenched hard.
"Do you really think, with some small mishaps I will go down that easily?"
"Seems like to me." I pursed my lips at him.
"Thanks for those flowers." Ron suddenly spoke up.
"You are welcome." Rupert smiled at him nicely.
"The person who attacked me, made a terrible mistake," Ron said while staring at those flowers. "Do you know what?"
Rupert narrowed his eyes at him without saying a word.
"He left me alive," Ron said with a sinister smile on his face. "They should've finished their job properly. Now they need to pay the price."
My heart skipped a beat. That was the second time I saw that dangerous expression on Ron's face. That was the exact same expression he had back then when he beat Rupert up. He looked so different. As if someone flipped his switch.
Rupert and Ron both entered a long never ending staring contest. Finally Rupert backed up and cleared his throat a little.
"I think you should focus on recovering first,"He said as he was slowly walking towards the door. "I will pray for you."
"Instead of me, you should pray for them." Ron straightened up on his seat a little. "Because this time I won't show any mercy."
Rupert paused and scoffed a little.
"I am sure, they would be glad to hear that."
"Yeah?" Ron leaned back on the pillow in a relaxing mode. "Glad to know that."
*~*~*~*~*~
I took a deep breath and slowly pushed open the door.
Juan looked up at me and I found a relaxed expression washed over his face.
