CHAPTER 1

Ruby's POV: 

"So are you coming to Savannah these holidays? I miss you allot Ruby" Molly said on the phone.

"I'll try my best Molly... I promise I will be there.. okay and I miss you too anyways take care of yourself love u bye..." I said.

"Bye! Love you too stay safe!" Molly stated and hung up the phone. Molly is my sister she is like my mom she cares for me more than anything I love her. She stays in Savannah with her husband Josh Miller, he is a sweet guy and very fun to talk with!

Mom and dad died in a car accident when I was 13 and so after that Molly was the only one who took care of me she is the most special person in my life. Molly's Birthday is coming in the holidays, 5th May, she is turning 25! So she called me up to come to Savannah.

I shifted to Houston, Texas when I was 17 for my further studies. After finishing my studies, I started working in coffee shop. Which was just few blocks away from my house. It's something I love and I enjoy working there.

"Can I get the usual" Rachel said.

"Coming right up Rach" I said.

Rachel Fairchild! the one and only bestie. She works in the Dress Covert. I met her in the University of Houston. Ever since we have been besties. she has been there for me in my hard times and my happy times! she is... damn talkative.

"What happened now?! what did that Ashley do today!" I said as I gave her the black coffee. And I sat beside her, she looked all angry so I asked her.

"Dude!! if I had a chance SOMEDAY I WILL KILL HER! okay so I was dealing with a customer showing him the clothes u know, and then she popped out of nowhere... and told me that boss is calling me and so I went in the cabin of Mr. Anderson and he told me he didn't call me... when I got back she was dealing with the customer i was talking to! She just... took that customer from me! I mean I was talking to him and... gosh I hate her!" she stated and took a sip from her coffee.

"Damn! she sure is a bitch! don't worry! don't take her seriously she is really... a headache" I said rolling my eyes.

"Anyways! I was thinking if we could go clubbing tonight coz its weekend and I really need a break from this week!" Rachel said.

"yeah sure! And also... for the holidays I am going to Savannah, it's Molly's birthday so!" I told her while standing up from the chair I had sat on.

"oh! Okay! Well I gotta go now break time's almost over. Bub-bye!!" she told as she looked at the watch she wore on her left hand.

"bye!" I said as we did our goodbyes... I saw the clock and it was almost 6. My shift will be over soon. I'll go to the market for grocery shopping and then get ready for the party.

I picked up the groceries on the way.

I reached home and went in my room took a hot steamy shower got out and slipped on a little black dress with black stiletto heels and did a smoky black eye which made my deep blue eyes pop out, with pink blush on and bright red lipstick. I let my hair be open with loose curls.

It was 7 when I checked the clock and I took my black shiny sling bag. The doorbell rang and so I opened the door, knowing its Rachel out there...

Or so I thought....

I opened the door and saw an unfamiliar figure in front of me. He wore Black jeans with black shoes, white round neck t-shirt, with a black leather jacket. His skin colour was olive, he had a clean shaved face with a perfect jawline his eyes were Light Brown colour and his hair was messy... with light brown highlights. Just the perfect man any girl would fall for. He was tall... perhaps 6'1.

Then just behind him came Rachel with white tight dress reaching her mid-thigh showing curves and edges with a deep V neck revealing her chest, with white pencil heels and a black sling bag. She had heavy make up on with a liner on her eyelid, blush on, dark red lipstick. Her hair was in a messy bun with hair strings on the sides of her face. She looks gorgeous. She comes near and stands beside the tall guy.

"Care to explain?" I said by giving her a who-the-hell-is-this-guy look.

"oh yeah. Ruby this is Lorenzo my cousin, Lorenzo this is Ruby my knight and shining armour." We nod at each other as Rachel introduces us to each other. He gives a small smile and a wave with his hand.

"He is here for a week he has some work over here so... he keeps his life damn private." Damn boy.

"And mom said I need to take him with me... coz he is my "babysitter" I hate when mom does this. So he is coming with us." She said while rolling her eyes in disappointment.

"Ah! Well... okay! Cool come on let's get this party started then!" I say as I close the door behind us and as we head out there I see a black SUV Mercedes standing in front of me.

"woah! She is gorgeous!" I say as I admire the car.

"Thanks" Lorenzo said with his deep voice.
