Chapter 48

Jasmine's POV

Today's Sunday August 19th. Me,Pony,and Kate went to the store to get school supplies. We go back to school Wednesday so why not get school supplies today. We all stayed together in case someone tried to jump us. We first started off with getting backpacks. Kate got a pink one,Pony got a black one,and I got a blue and black one. We went to the school supplies next. Pony got a red binder,highlighters,sharpies,six notebooks,mechanical pencils,loose paper,and a pencil porch. Kate got a blue binder,loose paper,mechanica pencils,three notebooks,crayons,a pencil porch,some extra erasers. I got a black sparkly binder,mechanical pencils,highlighters,sharpies,five notebooks,loose paper,a pencil porch,extra erasers,and some markers. I paid for everything then we left the store and started walking back to the Curtis house. A few minutes later,I saw a Mustang slowly driving behind us. It looks a lot like Jay's Mustang. "Hey guys. We got a problem" I said. Pony and Kate turned around and saw the Mustang. We started walking faster. The car sped up then the Socs all got out and started walking towards us. "Guys go home. I'll deal with them" I said putting my bags down. "No. Were not leaving until they leave" said Pony putting his bags down. "Yeah am not leaving until they leave" said Kate putting her bags down. I sighed knowing I couldn't say anything to make them leave. Jay walked over to me. "Hey Jasmine. I haven't seen you in awhile" said Jay. "Hi Jay. You get to see me Wednesday so you can leave us alone now" I said. "Well I wanted to see you before Wednesday so am not leaving yet" said Jay. Jay punched me in the face then pushed me to the ground. I looked at Pony and Kate and they were pinned to the ground. I saw Jay walking over to Kate. I got up off the ground and walked over to Jay and kicked him from behind. He turned around and glared at me. I then felt someone grab me from behind and pinned me to the ground. Jay grabbed Kate's chin and forced her to look at him. "Hi Kate. I can't wait to see you at my school Wednesday" said Jay. "How about you leave us alone and you get to see me more" said Kate. "I'd rather see your sister then you but at least I know who to look for if I don't see her" said Jay. "Don't you dare touch her" said Kate. "I can do what I want" said Jay. I watched as Jay slapped her across the face. I tried to get out of the Socs grip but he was too strong. "Your not getting out of my grip anytime soon young lady" the Soc gripping onto me said. "I guess we'll see what Jay says" I said. "I only listen to Jay" the Soc behind me said. "I know. He's your leader" I said. I saw Jay walk over to Pony next. He lifted Pony's chin next. "You think your so tough don't ya?" Jay asked. "I think am tougher then you'll ever be in a thousand years" said Pony. "You wish Greaser" said Jay. Jay punched him in the face. Jay walked back over to me. "Let her go. I'll deal with her now" said Jay. The Soc let me go and Jay grabbed my arm. "I hope your ready for Wednesday. And we're also in the same grade so I get to see you a lot more" said Jay. "Or you don't get to see you at all" someone said. I looked to my side to see Bob standing there with his arms crossed. "I'll see you later Jas" said Jay. He punched me hard in the stomach then ran to the car and left with his gang. I ran to Pony and Kate and helped them up. "Are you guys okay?" I asked. "Yeah am fine" said Pony. "Am fine to. Are you okay?" Kate asked. "Yeah am okay. We should probably go back to the Curtis house and get our stuff over there so we don't get jumped again though" I said. "Good idea" said Kate. "Yeah that's probably the best thing to do" said Pony. "You guys better not get yourselves in trouble before schools starts again" said Bob. "We can't help it if Socs like to jump us" said Pony. "Then don't go outside unless your with Darry or Dally" said Bob. "Your not in charge of us" said Kate. "You guys should still listen to me though" said Bob. "Well we don't have to" I said. With that we started running to the Curtis house.

Bob's POV

I watched as Pony,Kate,and Jasmine ran to the Curtis house. I shook my head. Why can't they just listen to me? It's not that hard. I just don't want them hurt. Of course Jay and his gang had to jump them. They better not go anywhere before school starts without Darry or Dally or am gonna be mad. They might get hurt a school but can't they just don't get hurt right before school? School starts Wednesday and there already getting hurt. I gotta find a way to stop them from getting hurt. I don't know if that's possible though sense they won't listen to me. Whatever though. I guess all I have to do is keep a better eyes on them.
