Chapter 7

Johnny's POV

Today's Saturday July 2nd. I thought about taking Kate on a date today. Am sure she'll love it. We haven't really went on a date before and I feel like today was the perfect day. I hope nothing bad happens today. I was walking to the Curtis house when I saw a Mustang. I started running over there and luckily I lost them. When I walked in a kissed Kate. "Kate am taking you on a date later tonight" I said. "Really. Where?" Kate asked. "It's a surprise" I said. "Okay. I can't wait!" said Kate. Tonight is gonna be so much fun. I can protect her if anything does happen.

Kate's POV

I can't believe Johnny's taking me on a date later tonight! It's gonna be so much fun! I can't wait to tell Jasmine. I heard that she was going on a walk so I ran out the door and tried to find her. When I saw her I ran over to her. "Jasmine guess what? Johnny is taking me on a date later!" I said cheerfully. "Am so happy for you Kate!" Jasmine's said cheerfully. "Please don't tell me you didn't get jumped today" I said. "No. I just got lucky though" said Jasmine. "That's good that you didn't" I said. "Maybe you should get back to everyone else" said Jasmine. "I'll go back if you do" I said. "Fine I guess you can walk with me" said Jasmine. We started walking. I feel like somethings gonna happen but I don't know what. I decided to walk faster. After about an hour we were back at the Curtis house. A few hours later I got ready for the date. I decided to wear a purple and blue striped dress with a sparkly red jacket. I put on my blue Converse. I decided to put on mascara and light pink blush and light red lipstick. I find some white sparkly gloves and I put them on. I grabbed my pink purse then went downstairs to find Johnny standing there. "Wow Kate you look amazing" said Johnny. "Aw thanks so much!" I said. "Of course now are you ready to go?" Johnny asked. "Of course am ready" I said. Johnny grabs my hand and takes me to his car and opens the door for me. I get in and get shuts it. He gets in then drives away. He drove to the park. He got out and went on my side and opened my door and I got out. Johnny is such a gentleman. I smiled at him then I saw him go to the trunk and get out a white basket and a blue blanket and laid it on the ground. I watched as he got out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches,blueberries,coke,cupcakes,and cookies. This seems really romantic. I smiled at him then took one of the two sandwiches and started eating it. "I hope your liking this this date. I wanted it to be romantic a little bit. I was hoping we could watch the sunset and look at the stars" said Johnny. I finished eating my sandwich right after he said that. "Yeah that seems fun. I like watching sunsets and looking at the stars so that's perfect" I said. "Dang I didn't know you were that hungry. You are that sandwich fast" said Johnny. "I realize that. I actually didn't realize I was gonna eat that sandwich so fast" I said grabbing some blueberries. Johnny shook his head the started eating his sandwich. After while I ate a cookie and a cupcake when I heard a car make a noise behind us. I looked at Johnny and he was looking behind us. "Start packing up the food. I'll keep watch" said Johnny. I packed up the food and but them in the trunk. I then walked over to Johnny. I saw that a Mustang was parked behind Johnny's car. I saw them get out and start making there way towards us. Johnny pushed me behind him. "Well,well,look who we have here. Hey Johnny and hey Kate" said Jay. It turns out it was Jay and his gang. "Leave us alone Jay or else" said Johnny. "Or else what?" Jay asked. "Just leave us alone please" I said. Jay looked at me then walked over to me and lifted up my chin. "You know what okay. See you later" said Jay. Then Jay and his gang left. Luckily they didn't jump us. Just then the sun was going down then right after we looked at the stars. "Stay Gold" I said to Johnny. "Stay Gold" Johnny said. We smiled at each other then kissed. We then went back in the truck and Johnny drove to the Curtis house. When we walked in we sat on the couch. "How was your guys date?" Jasmine asked. "It was really good" I said. "It was fun" said Johnny. Jasmine smiles then went upstairs. "I really did have a fun time" I said. "I did to" said Johnny. I smiled then laid my head on Johnny's shoulder.
