Chapter 9

Jasmine's POV

Today's Wednesday July 4th. I can't believe it's already fourth of July! That's so exciting! I have even more exciting news. Bob is letting me stay with my friends until 10 sense it's fourth of July! Am so happy! I really hope nothing bad happens today. I ran to the Curtis house before any Mustangs could find me. When I walked in,everyone was there. "So none of you went to work then?" I asked. "Got the day off today" said Darry. "Me and Steve didn't have to go to work today" said Soda. "Oh well am glad you guys are here!" I said. "Glad your here to" said Soda. "Hey guys and happy fourth of July!" I said cheerfully. "Happy fourth of July!" the whole gang said. "Oh also I can stay until 10 today!" I said. Everyone cheered. I smiled then went to the dinning room and sat down. Someone sat next to me and kissed my cheek but I knew it was Soda. I turned around and kissed him and he kissed me back.

Soda's POV

I can't believe it's already fourth of July! Am so happy that Jasmine and stay until 10! That's so exciting! I think we're gonna do fireworks and have a party. We're probably going to start the fireworks at like 8 so it's dark when we do them. I went in the dinning room cause Jasmine went in there and I kissed her cheek. He turned towards me and kissed me and of course I kissed her back. "Do you want to help me make a chocolate cake?" I asked. "Sure but am making the frosting" said Jasmine. "Fine I guess you can" I said. I grabbed her hand and took her to the kitchen. She got all the materials out before I had time to react. I started making the cake. After that I put the cake in the oven and set the timer. I saw Jasmine starting to make the frosting. I tried looking at it but she covered it with her hands. "I want it to be a surprise for you" said Jasmine. "Okay" I said. The timer went off 15 minutes later and Jasmine got it out of the oven and started putting frosting on it. "Soda you can come and look down" said Jasmine. I walked in the room to see a red cake with blue frosting and white sprinkles. When did the cake get red? Jasmine must have put red coloring in the cake without me noticing. I guess it's perfect for fourth of July. "So Darry wanted me to make cupcakes so maybe if you want you can make them" I said. "Sounds like a plan" said Jasmine. I smiled then went to the living room. After about an hour I went to cheek on her but then I saw the cupcakes. The cupcakes were blue with red frosting and white sprinkles. I was about to go back to the living room when I felt something land on me. I looked at my outfit to see a blob of blue and red frosting. Jasmine came out of nowhere and started laughing. I decided to throw some at her and we had a frosting fight. I tried throwing one more blob at her but she ducked and it hit Johnny instead. At least he didn't have his jean jacket on. Johnny ran to the bowl of frosting and threw a lot at me. We all started laughing then we started cleaning up. Jasmine did the dishes. After that we all out on some new clothes. I just put on a white shirt and light colored jeans. I went to the living room and sat down. I noticed Johnny was in the same outfit but with his jean jacket on. Jasmine's was wearing a white shirt with light colored jeans and a red sweater. She sat down on my lap and watched TV.

Johnny's POV

I can't believe I got involved in a frosting fight. I wasn't expecting that but it did make me laugh. A few hours later we were doing fireworks. Good thing Jasmine can stay until 10 tonight. That makes things better. I just hope he lets her go soon. It's not like he can keep her forever sense he's a ghost. It's not like she's a ghost yet. It's not like she deserves it either. It'd be better if we didn't meet him either. I sighed then just watched the fireworks. I smiled at everyone.
