Unfortunately, Mr. Jeffery wasn't going to be able to make it this weekend, but Mrs. Jeffery has taken tonight off, to give us a hand.
"We'll meet you at your parents, so we can load up," Mrs. Jeffery calls from her car, as Ryan gets in.
We get in our car, and start heading to the house.
"In just a few hours, we will be in a place, that's just ours," Bella takes my hand.
I glance over, seeing pure excitement on her face, "yeah, it really came up fast."
"How are we moving your bed and dresser here, girls?"
"We're not."
Ryan and Mrs. Jeffery immediately look confused.
"We're just worried about the boxes, clothes and bedding. We have an air mattress for the time being, until we can move the bed—"
"Or get a new one," Bella pipes up from behind some boxes.
I grin, "or get a new one. And our closet has plenty of space, with shelves built in and all."
"Alrighty then, let's get moving on the rest of this.
"Careful with that, Ry."
"I got it," he immediately fumbles over the front step, and shoots back up, "still got it."
Luna and I both chuckle amongst ourselves after he leaves the room.
"Shouldn't you tell him it's just your comics?"
"Oh, he knows," I pause to move another box, "we're both very careful with comics, always have been. He made me like this."
A grin spreads across her face, "you guys are strange," she begins taking stuff to the car.
"What else needs to go?" Ryan looks around my room.
"Just that box, and this one," I shrug my shoulder, moving the box in my arm.
He grabs the other box and we go outside.
Once everything is packed into the cars, it doesn't seem like a lot. It will definitely look like a lot again, when we are moving stuff up to the apartment
Mrs. Jeffery stays in the car for a bit, while we start moving things in.
I am so thankful we have an elevator, so we aren't going up and down three stories, by stairs, but we still have to take quite a few trips to and from the cars.
While Bella and I start unboxing everything, Ryan and Mrs. Jeffery decide to head out, bring an end to their day. We end up staying up later than we planned, but we just found a rhythm for putting stuff away.
Eventually, we decide to call it quits, coming to the conclusion we'll continue unpacking in the weeks to follow, though we'll be worried about studying at the same time.
We get the air mattress blown up and made, then climb in.
"I think we may need to just get a different bed, yours is way too small. I mean, look at all the room," Bella sweeps her hands across the bed, with a smile on her face.
I'm already half asleep, "yeah," I'm cut off with a yawn, "we can do that."
As I begin to drift off, I can feel Bella moving. "Maybe I am okay with less space," her head comes to my chest.
I put my arm around her and grin, "this works for me."
As the days progress, we spend our time organizing, studying and working, slowly getting things done.

"Finally," I fall back on the bed, it's been a lot of work, but everything's done.
I feel a nudge at my leg, "tired?"
I smile at her, nodding, "yeah. Very."
"Do you mind if I lay with you?"
"Yeah, it is your bed, too," I move up, slightly, so my legs aren't hanging off.
Immediately, she's nestled into me. This is honestly one of my favourite things in the world.

"Hey," I can feel Bella sitting up.
"Hmm?"
"Aren't we supposed to go to Ryan's for dinner?"
I check the time, and run my hand through my hair, "right, yeah... we should go."
—————————————————————————————————————————————————
"So, how's everything with the new place?" I am blown away that it's Mr. Jeffery who asks, and not Mrs. Jeffery, but of course, I'm still happy to answer either way.
"It's good. We actually just finished up the cleaning today."
"That's good."
It doesn't take long, before they turn the conversation.
"How are you girls doing with your studying?"
"Good," Bella and I both nod, "I think we're about ready to get these finals done, and get out of there."
"I think that's a general consensus around here," Ryan chuckles.
"You're not wrong."
This dinner is just full of surprises in the conversation area, Bella hasn't been one to talk when everyone is around.
"Would you girls like to join us for a game night?"
When I look at Bella, I know we're both thinking the same, "as much as we'd love to, today was quite long, so I think we're just gonna head home, but maybe next time."
Mrs. Jeffery nods and goes back to cleaning the table, while I finish putting the dishes away. She then walks us to the door, and we get our shoes on.
"Thank you for dinner."
"Of course," she always has such a great smile.
"See ya, Ry," I call up the stairs.
His hand appears over the banister and waves.
"Goodnight, girls."
"Night."
While we are heading home, I look at Bella, as she just watches out the window. It's beginning to rain, so we can see the street lights reflecting off the raindrops.
By the time we reach home, we're in a full down pour.
"Here," I pass Bella my coat from the backseat.
"Thanks," she holds it over her head, as we hurry to the lobby door of the building.
"When we get upstairs, I'm making tea, and crawling into bed."
"That sounds like a great plan."
Bella heads to the bedroom, and comes out, in a button up shirt, then goes towards the patio door.
"Do you want tea?"
"I'm okay, thank you."
I finish making my tea, and go outside, to join Bella.
She's leaning against the banister, watching the sunset behind the rain, "it's always so pretty, especially from here."
I set my cup on the table, walking over to her, wrapping my arms around her, "it is. Makes it even better to watch it with you."
We sit, and just talk, a nice bit of relaxation for us.
"I think I'm about ready to head to bed."
"Same here."
