12:04am
B: I'm so sorry, I feel like a complete idiot
I really didn't know if I should answer, but I couldn't leave her on read, I didn't even know where she was.
L: What do you mean? Why are you sorry?
B: I shouldn't have done that
It was stupid
L: I didn't think it was stupid
Where are you?
B: I'm basically wandering the streets, I didn't know what to do or where to go.
L: Ok, I'm coming to meet up with you, where are?
B: The corner store on 7th ave
L: Ok, don't move, I'll be there in 5
I realized how cold it was out, and that all she was wearing was my hoodie, which was not warm enough. I grabbed another jacket, a toque and some mittens and ran out. Nearly forgetting to lock the door. I'm only a few blocks from where she is, so I arrive in almost no time. She's sitting on a bench outside, and I can tell she's shivering from across the street.
"Hey, are you okay?"
She won't even look at me. I pass her the warmer clothes, which she puts on. "Come on, let's just go back to my place."
She stands up and nods. While we walk, neither of us says a word. I'm not sure how this will go, but I do it. I reach over and grab her hand. She glances at me, as though I am completely insane. I hold it a little tighter and smile, she smiles back, which sends my heart a flutter.
We are finally back, so I open the door for her. We sit on the couch, and get out of all the gear.
"So, what happened?"
She was upset about it, but decided to explain.
"Last night, after I'd gotten home from your house, I decided to come out to my parents as... bisexual."
"Why did you decide to come out last night?"
"Well, truth be told, I've had a crush on you for about 3 years now. But I never thought you'd like me back. So I kept quiet, and thought I could get over it eventually."
"You liked me?"
"Yeah. It all came flooding back when we got paired up. Then when I went into your room, and saw your flag, I thought there may be a chance. I knew I had to come out so there could be a chance of something happening. But when I told my parents, they told me leave. I didn't know where else to go."
"What about your friends?"
"They would have made me tell them what had happened, and they wouldn't have accepted it. So I came here, without a thought. I honestly didn't have a chance to grab anything and was lucky my phone was in my pocket."
"So tonight was?"
"Tonight was my hope that you wouldn't shut me out if I went out on a whim... I guess."
"Trust me, what happened tonight is the last thing that would make me 'shut you out,' okay?"
"What does that mean?"
"I've liked you since grade 8, the moment you walked into Ms. Heinrich's class."
"Wow," she leans back into the couch.
"It's amazing, that we both liked each other, and yet neither of us had a clue," I chuckle, "well, just so you know, you're more than welcome to stay here as long as you need."
"I really appreciate that," she smiles.
"You cool if I throw something on the tv? Or do you just want to head to bed?"
"I'm not really tired, so I don't mind watching something."
I throw on something random, and grab a blanket. She sits with her feet on the couch, and puts her head on my shoulder. I can still feel her shivering, so I move the blanket to cover her. I've already held her hand today, and been kissed by her, so putting my arm around her isn't a big deal. She comes in closer.
After 20 minutes, I glance, and she has fallen asleep. I'm not worried about moving, so I decide to just stay and sleep with her.
When I wake up, she is curled up on the other side of the couch. I get up and go and change my clothes before she gets up.
