Two words.
Everyday, before we split up, the three of us utter those same two words to one another.
"Good luck."
Final after final, day after day, we finish them off, counting down to the last one.
After our first three finals, we get a weekend, a break. The last two are Monday and Tuesday, and then we never have to go back.
Bella, Ryan and I spend Friday night and most of Saturday at our house. Mrs. Jeffery is set that he needs to use Sunday to study. But we have this time to chill, before then.
"So, you bring it?"
Bella looks understandably confused.
"Yup," Ry runs to his bag and comes back with his Wii, it doesn't typically leave his room, but he made an exception this time.
"Oh, that makes sense," Bella pipes up.
I smile, watching her face light up.
Ryan gets it hooked up, before we sit down,  I quickly grab us drinks, and go back over.
"Toss it here," Ry's hands are it, ready to catch.
"No way," I hand it to him, normally.
"Spoil sport."
"Hey. First of all, fizzy drinks you'd end up shaking it up and then immediately open it. And second, you're not great at catching."
He side eyes me, before his gaze locks on the TV, "you ready?"
"Yeah, pretty much."
I try to shoo Bella out of my spot, as she has naturally found her gig of stealing it. Instead of moving to her spot, she slides forward, ever so slightly.
I sit behind her, stretching one leg out along the couch, and the other hangs off. While Bella sits, leaning partially on the couch, and partially on me.
"You're a pain in the ass," I whisper to her.
"You love me for it," she sits up to kiss me, then gets ready to race.
The three of us swap off on who's playing. We really need another controller, but this still works.
As it gets later, I can feel Bella nodding off.
"I think it's time to switch from games to a movie."
"Good plan," Bella sits up and stretches, "I'm just gonna go change quick, before we start."
"Okay. I'll go grab some more blankets," I go follow Bella to the bedroom, as we both hear Ryan coming from the living room.
"Great, then I'm going to steal the bathroom."
He always does this, gets invested in whatever we're doing, especially gaming, and then doesn't use the bathroom.
We all meet back in rage living room, and get comfortable.
"What are we watching?" Ryan starts flicking through movies.
"I don't have a preference, you?" I look down at Bella, who's laying against my chest.
"Doesn't matter to me, just no horror, please."
"Got it. I'll scroll through fast, whatever I land on, we'll watch."
It lands on some weird adventure movie. Not a bad one, I will admit.
It doesn't take long, before Bella falls asleep. Ryan and I finish the movie, and he puts on another.
I don't make it far into the second movie, before I fall asleep too.
Ryan has always been someone who will stay up all night, and then sleep in, until someone tells him otherwise. I'm guessing this will definitely be the case since his mom isn't here to get him up.
When I wake up, both Bella and Ryan are still asleep.
I move off the couch, carefully, and head to the bedroom. I contemplate what to do, and decide to shower while I wait for them.
Once I walk out, Bella is in the bedroom, getting dressed. Argo, she's wearing shorts and stealing one of my shirts. She has such a cheeky grin on her face, which makes me smile back.
"So, what do we do, waiting for Ryan to get up?"
"Well, my plan before was to go sit out on the patio and read, if you want to join me?"
"That sounds nice."
"Do you want to just meet me out there?"
"Sure."
"Okay, I will be out in a few."
We sit outside, and hang out until just after eleven, then I question if I should get Ryan up, so we can go for lunch like we planned, or just wait.
Bella and I come in, and decide we'll either wait until he wakes up, or for an hour and a half, maybe two. Which ever comes first.
We go hangout in our bedroom, studying while we wait for Ry.
I can hear a few clicks on the floor, in the hall, before I hear the light flick on form the bathroom, and the door shut.
"Guess he's up now."
I pull myself off the bed, "yeah, we should get ready to go, he's gonna want to go as soon as possible."
There's a shared giggle between us, as we get into better clothes, and go out to the kitchen.
"You guys ready for breakfast?"
I grin and look at the time, "don't you mean lunch?"
He squints at me, barely even awake, "food," he grabs his wallet, "let's go."
"See?" I whisper to Bella, "he will only wake up for food."
"Not a half bad reason to get up."
"She gets it," Ryan turns around form down the hall.
We head back after lunch, and do a few races, before Ryan leaves.
"Good luck on the studying."
"You too."

I sit under the tree, grabbing my book to start reading. I only get a few sentences in, before I zone out, just thinking about what we're gonna do this summer. With Ryan leaving at the end of August, we've decided to fill the next two months doing as much as possible.
We want to make a list, properly, but we also don't want to have things that aren't crossed off. So, we're doing a somewhat winged plan.
I'm brought back to reality, when I hear Bella's bag drop, then feel her head fall into my lap, "why are finals so tedious?"
I smile and start playing with her hair, "I have no idea."
"Well, at least we only have one left."
"Yup, and the last one is a simple long answer essay."
"That's true, so that won't be hard."
We sit for a while, before heading home to chill, and make dinner.
