Chapter 22 - Efreet

Third Person View

Kotori: "Now let the date begin!"

Origami, who is still conscious looked at Kotori in disbelief before falling unconscious.

Kurumi: "My, another one? Could you please stop interfering?"

Kotori then lands in front of us in order to protect us.

Kotori: "Are you guys okay?"

John: "Mana took a lot of shots from Kurumi. Other than that, everyone else is fine."

Kurumi and her clones then proceeds to fire a barrage of shots at Kotori, who blocks the attacks in return.

Kurumi: "Splendid! Absolutely splendid!"

Kotori then hits the ground with her staff which causes the rooftop to shake as Kurumi then steps back.

Kotori: "You're annoying, how about chilling out for a bit?" As Kotori continues to block the shots.

Kurumi: "In that case, I will take your suggestion. Zafkeil!" A giant clock then appears behind Kurumi as she points her pistol at the seventh mark.

Kurumi: "Zayin!" Kurumi then aims her pistol at Kotori before firing two shots at her. Kotori blocked the first shot however, the second shot hit her as she then frozen in place.

Shido: "KOTORI!"

Kurumi: "It does not matter what power you wield as long as you freeze in place." Multiple Kurumi's then comes out of the shadow as they they begin fireing at Kotori. The original Kurumi then walks towards Kotori as she then places the barrel of her pistol at her forehead before firing a bullet. Time then resumes for Kotori as her body then falls down much to Shido and John's horror.

Kurumi: "My, it appears I am through with you already. What a shame, I was hoping for a worthy opponent. Well, it seems like you are next Shido. John will be after you~"

Suddenly, fire appears on Kotori's wounds. Healing her as she then gets up as if Kotori has never been shot.

Kotori: "Geez, you really like to rub that mouth of yours. I'd prefer you being overwhelmed by fear, having just lost your will to fight."

Kurumi: "Tch, you will learn to know your place!"

A giant clock appears behind Kurumi again as she points her pistol on the first hand.

Kurumi: "Aleph!" She then proceeds to fire the shots her her clones before pointing the pistol at her head and fired. However, this causes Kotori to instinctively kick Shido out of the way and pushed John away as numerous of Kurumi clones proceed to pummel her.

Kotori: "Cleave, Camael!" The Kurumi clones is then blasted away as every one of the disappears.

Kurumi: "Tch, just why the hell is with you!?"

Kurumi then summoned the giant clock again as she points her pistol at the fourth mark this time before shooting herself in the head again. This time, the wound she sustained is healed, or reversed.

Kotori: "Is that all you got? You can start getting serious at any time now." Kotori taunts Kurumi as the latter grits her teeth in anger.

Kurumi: "I will make you regret saying those words!"

Kotori: "As if I'd let you do that!"

However before Kotori could do anything, she felt pain on her head as she crouches down.

John/Shido: "Kotori!" The former rushes towards the girl as he slowly lifts her up.

John: "Kotori, are you okay?"
