Family bonding and Clementine's new uncle!

Waking up in a cold sweat I clutched my chest. Every night since the fight with Dream I would wake up after having a nightmare about sinking into an endless abyss of darkness. Ranboo said it was probably from trauma, I guess you could add that to the list of trauma I already had.

It had been a few days since the fight with Dream. I had taken the next day off of work. Today is Saturday so I have to go to work at the café.

Rolling out of bed there was a crashing sound as I fell off the bed.

"Tommy! Are you alright!?" I heard Ranboo call from the living room.

"Yeah!" I answered as I stood up and made my way out of the bedroom. Ranboo was in the kitchen putting their shoes and jacket on.

"Where are you going boob boy?" I asked as I picked up an apple from the kitchen counter.

"Work. I have to go to work. Tubbo already left." Ranboo said before walking out of the door.

'He seemed a bit tense, I wonder what happened.' Shrugging the feeling away I got ready for work before looking for Clementine. I was now wearing a hoodie and jeans. My bag was handed by the door, waiting for when I was ready to leave for work.

"Clementine, Where are you!?" I shouted through the apartment. There was a skittering of paws that turned into the sound of rushed small footsteps as Clementine ran to me. I laughed as I picked her up and spun her around.

"How are you Clem? Did you sleep well?" I asked her. She nodded before hugging me.

"How about you? How are you doing? Are you feeling any better?" Clementine's voice sounded muffled as she spoke, her head being buried in my chest. The night that I had gotten in the fight with Dream, Clementine was asleep. She didn't know what happened until the next day. She wouldn't leave my side the rest of the day, worried that if she let me out of her sight I would get hurt again.

"Don't worry, I'm doing much better now. Do you want to go to work with me today so you can keep an eye on me?" She nodded vigorously.

"Ok! Go get changed! I'll wait for you here." She nodded again before running into the room. I had gotten her clothes a while back. I hid them towards the back of the closet where Ranboo and Tubbo wouldn't find them.

A few minutes later Clementine came running out wearing an overall dress. On each buckle there was a small sunflower. She was wearing white leggings under the skirt. Her skirt had pale yellow lace at the edge. She had small red sneakers on. Her raccoon features were peeking out from her hair and her skirt. Her skirt had a hole for her tail to fit through.

She ran up to me and reached up, holding up two yellow ribbons in her hand. "Can you tie up my hair? I can't do it." She asked.

"Sure." I knelt down and asked for her to turn around. She turned around and I started to tie up her hair. When I was done I stood up. She had her hair up in two pigtails with sunflower yellow ribbons tying them up.

I put a sketchbook and colored pencils into my bag. I also packed a few snacks for her later before turning to look at Clementine again. "Are you ready to go?"

"Yep! Let's go! To adventure!" She laughed as she ran out the door. I smiled as I locked the door behind us and ran to catch up with her. We ran through the city together to my work. When we arrived it was a few minutes before opening time.

Tubbo and Ranboo weren't there because they changed jobs once I had started working at the hero tower. Tubbo now works for some tech lab while Ranboo works at a local grocery store. Apparently their new jobs paid more and had better work times.
