Isla lay in bed and sighed. She knew that she felt out of place at home. Leigh, Lexie and max were a family and now she felt as if she was a spare part

Isla knew how max said how Leigh wanted to adopt her but she knew that couldn't happen. She knew how they'd have to find her mum and she didn't want that

Isla knew that trauma her mum had caused and she knew that she was now the only reminder that max had for her and Isla hated it. She hated the mess that her mother had caused and Isla hated that she was her mother

Isla got dressed for school and walked down into the kitchen and smiled as she sat down. Max liked to Isla and frowned

"Are you okay" he asked as Isla nodded. He knew how Isla was far from a morning person and how he couldn't help but worry over her

"Are you sure?" He asked

"I'm fine" Isla said as he nodded

"I thought that we could talk over the adoption. With Leigh" he said as she sighed

"We can't. We can't do it as it means having to find my mother, you know all that she did. She took Lexie away from Her mother and you know all that she did to you and me. I can't have her own my life again and she won't sign over her rights to me besides you have Lexie I together Leigh doesn't need to have a teenager" Isla said

"Isla" max said as he watched as his daughter stood up and walked out of the room as Leigh walked in with Lexie and frowned as she looked to max

"Is everything okay" Leigh asked as max sighed

"No, it's far from it" max said

Isla got to school and sat in the common room as she saw Tom. She looked to him and glared. She knew that she didn't want to see him. She wasn't in the mood.

She knew how he had been acting with her and she couldn't be bothered with him and everything that was going on.

Isla looked as Tom walked in and looked to her "I hope that your going to start behaving" he said as she liked to him

"Why don't you go to hell. Acting as if your a top teacher when you know what we have done" she spat as she stood up. She went to walk off as he walked after her and grabbed her arm

"Are you threatening me" he asked as she rolled her eyes

"No toM. I care about you unlike you I wouldn't push someone away when I need them I'd never risk you loosing everything" Isla said as she walked off as Tom looked after her and sighed

Isla got home and sighed. She saw Leigh and smiled "hey are you okay I talked to your dad I know that your upset over your mum but you know it is going to be okay" Leigh said as Isla smiled

"No it's not it's only going to be so long until my mum actually comes back and  it will be disaster she's my mum and I am meant to love her but all that she does is let people down. Let me down and I can't know how much longer I can deal with it" Isla said

Leigh looked to her and frowned. She couldn't help but worry over Isla and what was going on but Leigh had no idea how Isla was right and as maxs ex was soon to return it would be trouble for all of them?
