The Blood of The Dragon

Chapter 19

David slowly opened his eyes and saw that he was lying down in some kind peaceful meadow.

He got up fromground and looked around the meadow, wondering where he was and how he got there.

David then sees the cloaked woman he met in the cave standing not too far away from him.

“It’s you again, the cloaked lady I saw in the cave” said David.

The woman turned to David and then looked away from him before she began to leave, running through the meadow.

"Where are you going” asked David as he chased after her.

The woman went into what looked like a cloud of darkness that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

David then chased after her, following her in to the dark cloud that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.

In the dark cloud David saw nothing but darkness except for a castle which was the only visible thing he could see apart from darkness.

He could sense something dark coming from the strange castle, a feeling greatly resembled that of his darkness.

David then saw the cloaked woman opening the castle door and go in.

David continues chasing her and follows her in to the castle and once in there he saw something horrifying.

He saw the woman on the ground, dead with blood sipping out of her body in front of a strange man seated like a king on some kind of throne.

One of the man’s arms looked like a dragon’s arm as it covered with black scales and had razor sharp claws just like that of a dragon with what looked like a dark crystal on the center of the arm.

The man’s eyes were also violet glowing dragon eyes, similar to David’s when he loses control of his darkness.

Blood was dripping down from the claws man’s dragon arm, blood that belonged to the cloaked woman who was now dead on floor.

David looked at the man completely horrified, as if he was looking at the devil himself.

David could feel something coming from the man, a connection similar to the one he felt with the other woman but this one was much darker than the one he felt with the woman.

The man saw David and then smiled before he got up from his throne.

The man walks up to David with the blood dripping down from the claws on his dragon arm and staining the ground he walked upon.

David who was now frozen in fear just watched as the man approached him.

The man then grabbed him by the neck and said,“I am coming for you, child”.

He then raised his dragon arm about to scratch David with its claws but before he could David saw a flash of what looked like a golden locket.

He then opened his eyes and woke up, in the infirmary inside the Dragon Academy, where wounded or sick students are kept to be treated, lying down on one of the beds.

He looked around and sighed in relief when he saw his friends safe and sound, lying down on beds next to his.

They then slowly began to regain consciousness.

Afinto was the first to ask “how did we get here”.

“Yeah, the last thing I remember was that we were all separated in the tunnels and then that stone beast attacked us” said Steven.

“It attacked me and Afinto as well when we were in one of the tunnels” said Flora.

“Yeah, the beast came out of nowhere and it didn’t help that I could not sense it” said Afinto.
