Chapter 20

The next day after they were done with all their school activities, David, Afinto, Steven, Flora and Susan all roamed the halls together slowly, not in a hurry to get back to their rooms and just enjoyed one another’s company.

Afinto’s whole body stunk as he had just finished cleaning every single toilet in the Dragon Academy and the others kept their distance away from him.

“Seriously Afinto, you stink” said Steven holding his nose, trying his best not to smell Afinto awful smell.

Afinto then bowed his head in shame.

Flora feeling bad for Afinto hits Steven’s head before saying, “Give him a break will you, if it wasn’t for him we would have being suffering a far worse punishment than just being grounded”.

“Flora does have a point Steven, Afinto really saved us from Principal Diana” said Susan.

David noticed Afinto wasn’t really paying attention and was lost in his thoughts.

“Hey Afinto, what’s wrong?” asked David.

Afinto came out of his deep thought and said “it’s nothing David”.

“Sorry but you can’t fool me Afinto” said David knowing fully well that Afinto was lying.

Afinto just sighed knowing that he could not lie.

“I feel terrible” said Afinto.

“For what?” asked David?

“I nearly got us all killed David” said Afinto.

“It wasn’t your fault Afinto” said David.

“Yes it was David, I was the one who made us go there and we nearly died because of me bad call” said Afinto as he clenched his hand in to a fist.

“Afinto...” said David but was cut off mid-sentence by Afinto saying “Don’t say anything David; I don’t want to hear it”.

Afinto not wanting to continue the conversation moved further ahead, away from David and the rest of his friends.

“What’s up with Afinto, I don’t think I have ever seen him this way before” said Steven.

“He blames himself for taking to the dark side of the island” said Flora knowing exactly why Afinto was in a bad mood even without him saying anything to her.

“Yeah, he thinks he is the one to blame” said David.

“Is there anything we can do to help him?” asked Susan.

Flora then got a crazy and reckless idea just like the ones Afinto used to come up with.

"They might be one way but we would in a lot of trouble if we get caught” said Flora.

Meanwhile in Victor’s office, Victor was busy thinking about everything David told him when heard a familiar voice call out to him.

“Hello Victor, why is your mind so troubled” asked the familiar voice.

Victor rose his head up and saw it was none other than the dark armored man that stood in front.

“Why are you here” asked Victor.

“To check up on you and the boy” said the dark armored man.

“He is fine” said Victor.The dark armored man could clearly see that something was bothering Victor even though he was trying his best to hide it.

“Why is your mind so troubled?” asked the dark armored man.

Victor sighed before saying to the dark armored man, “David”.
