"hey emmy, nice to see you again" her therapist says as she sits on the couch

"hi laura" emersyn smiles gently

laura had been emersyns therapist since her mom died and their dad left. laura was emersyns moms best friend and she had known emersyn and luke since they were born and she was always there for both of them, but emersyn really needed therapy so she was mostly with laura.

emersyn trusted laura with her life, she was like her second mom. the siblings didnt live with laura cause she was already pretty busy, although laura had offered multiple times.

"so, how are you feeling? youre in a new school right?" laura asks

"yes, not a surprise. im feeling kind of stressed, i have to make up for a lot of school work and my anxiety has been acting up. i feel like everyone is judging me as i walk by the hallways. i made some friends, i think, i dont know. theyre triplets, their names are chris, matt and nick. i only met them last week so i guess we arent very close but i talk to them, i sit with them at lunch, but we've never hung out by ourselves out of school. i got a store job to help luke with the bills and stuff. we visited moms grave. many tears were shed, thats basically it" she rants

"thats good, well most of it. are your friends nice?" laura asks

"yeah, they really are, matt has anxiety too and he said i could always talk to him" emersyn shrugs

"thats great emmy, im glad!" laura smiles gently

emersyn keeps talking about her life and how its been going recently for 2 hours and a half. she got picked up by her brother after.

she was grateful to have laura and luke there for her, considering she didnt have many people in her life.
