"matt? MATT" nick yells from the backseat

"hm?" matt looks back at him

"dude, where were you?" chris asks

"i just zoned out" matt shrugs

the real thing is, ever since matt and emersyns disagreement, he wasnt focusing. his mind just kept repeating her name, it was a loop his mind couldnt get out of. he kept worrying about her, about what she was doing, or what was happening to her, or where she was, he didnt have any of those answers because they hadnt talked for a week straight

"okay, answer the question. would your rather lose a foot or a hand" chris asks

"foot" matt says

"okay matt what is wrong with you" nick stops recording

"nothing is wrong with me" matt says "im fine, just distracted"

"you dont look fine" chris says, causing matt to look at him

"what happened?" nick asks in a comforting tone

"emersyn and i got into a, disagreement. god not even a fucking disagreement i dont even know what it was! and we havent talked for a week straight and im worried about her and i miss her and i want to - i need to go back to boston or else im gonna turn into a fucking depressed loner" he rants "she said she was sick when i called her last week but she didnt look sick and i got mad at her because i thought she did, something that i cant tell you guys about, and turns out she didnt do that thank god but she went on this whole rant ahout how she misses us and-"

"woah, calm down" nick puts his hand on matts shoulder "do you really want to leave LA?"

"no, i really dont, but i want to see her at the same time" matt looks down

"we can leave, matt, we dont have to stay here" chris says

"but you guys want to stay, i know you two do" matt looks up "plus this is our dream"

"matt we can always come to LA, well not always but we can come. the city is always gonna be here, its not going anywhere" chris chuckles "just say it and we'll leave"

"are you guys sure?" matt asks

"well, im sure, i dont know about chris" nick says

"im sure" chris shrugs

"uhm, okay, thanks guys" matt smiles softly
