"no you wont" chris scoffs
"oh yeah? try me" she looks at him
"uhm, nevermind" he sinks in his seat
"yeah" she replies, throwing the chip he threw at her back at him
"you two used to cuddle and now youre threatening to throw a knife at him?" nick says
"we would cuddle but now that im dating matt it would be completely inappropriate" emersyn answers
"so now we show our love for each other by fighting" chris finishes
"plus, we hug from time to time so its not a completely love hate relationship. its more love than hate!" she exclaims
"righttt" matt nods slowly "em, are you coming to our house today?"
"oh i cant, i have this family thing" she says
they all raise their eyebrows at her
"okay- family as in ivy, vivian, and luke" she says
"oh, what are you guys doing?" chris asks
"uhm, okay its actually really embarrasing because luke and vivian treat me like their daughter now - but they want to do a family, game night" she says "so basically they want to play monopoly, twister, that kind of stuff with a three year old who doesnt even know how to say the word 'when' yet"
"that sounds fun though" nick says
"it probably will be, i dont know, we'll see" emersyn shrugs

matt, nick, and chris got back home after dropping emersyn off at her house after school.
"matt? a package came for you" their dad, jimmy, says
"oh? where is it?" matt asks
"on the coffee table" jimmy points at it
matt grabs it and goes to his room, putting it down on his bed.
he grabs a pair of scissors and opens it. it wasnt a big box, more like a medium one. he saw the same exact velvet box that he had given emersyn, at first he was confused, but went along with it.
he opened it and saw a note saying, 'for matt, i love you more, love emersyn". he smiled gently at it and put it beside him on the bed, he then saw a ring with the letter 'e' on it.
